This is our "as seen on" page that continues to grow immensely every year.

NBC

» In February of 2008, a syndicated article was distributed and published on all nationwide NBC networks and ABC networks featuring FirstShowing.net. Titled "Site Offers More Film News, Less Gossip", the article explains "For film buffs who want to know more about what's really going on in the world of film and less about the personal lives of the actors in them, www.firstshowing.net is a great choice." Specific examples of the syndicated article include LA's KNBC and Denver's ABC 7 News.

Performancing.com Best Entertainment Blog

» In January of 2008, FirstShowing.net was awarded the Editors' Choice for Best Entertainment Blog in 2007 by Performancing.com. PC Mag's Top 100 Undiscovered Websites

» In August of 2007, we were announced as one of PC Mag's Top 100 Undiscovered Websites. Direct link to our listing under Lifestyle and Entertainment. Featured below is the description written by Corinne Iozzio about the website.

"There has always been a line between people who make movies and people who watch them. As movie watchers, many of us have no idea what goes into making a film and what takes place behind the scenes. For those who are interested in peeking behind the curtain, movie blog FirstShowing will keep you up to date on all the hot gossip from back lots, movie sets, and Hollywood bigwig offices. (It's also a great place to find new teasers, trailers, and production stills.)"

USA Today

» In March of 2007, we were interviewed and quoted in USA Today in an article about 300. Direct link to the article written by Susan Wloszczyna. Below is an excerpt from the piece with the quote.

"When we ask, 'What are the most highly anticipated movies of the year?' 300 and Spider-Man 3 are the ones mentioned the most," says Alex Billington, co-founder of fan site FirstShowing.net, who witnessed the Comic-Con reaction firsthand. "What 300 has achieved now, no one else has come close to achieving. This is setting the new standard for comic-book movies."

The Gazette        The Independent

» We have had two front page feature articles written about us in the local Colorado Springs newspapers - The Gazette and The Independent. Both are great pieces that look at the start-up of the business and our local movie theater events based in Colorado.

indieWIRE

» In January of 2008, we were quoted extensively in a piece about Sony Pictures Classics' Sundance acquisitions on indieWIRE. The article quoted Alex Billington's discussion in another article that was published here and written by him. Our impact on the industry is so strong, that indieWIRE in turn sought out Sony Picture Classics' co-presidents for a reaction and response.
