September 29, 2006

Comedic all-star Andy Dick dropped us a line via phone yesterday to chat about Employee of the Month and his career in film and comedy. Along with some hilarious discussion, he mentioned some exclusive news details on quite a few grounds.

We've put together this brief snippet of audio from the interview. The full interview can be heard in our podcast airing next Monday.

(I want to remind everyone that this is all still Andy Dick, and to possibly take what he says with a grain of salt - as some of it may not be entirely true.)

The first bit of news is that his film, Danny Roane: First Time Director, that he wrote, directed, and starred in, is getting distribution via Lionsgate in 2007. The movie showed earlier this year at South by Southwest. Andy said that since he's been working with Lionsgate for Employee of the Month as well, they've also picked up Danny Roane and will be releasing it next year.

Andy also said that Jessica Simpson's next movie will be a remake of the 1988 movie Working Girl about a secretary who gets back at her boss. Andy said that he will be co-starring in this with Luke Wilson as well.

Read on for more news about his new albums and Comedy Central show!

In our interview with Andy, he also talked about his future projects coming up both in CD releases and on Comedy Central. He claims that "Broadway is in the works" for him as well. Andy said that he has a comedy album coming out at Christmas by the title "Do Your Shows Always Suck" that was recorded live.

Andy also said that he will be releasing another music CD with his group Andy Dick and the Bitches of the Century. Andy gave us a taste of what's to come and sang us the exclusive debut of a song he had written "just last night" about Jessica Simpson entitled "Jessica." Tune into our podcast on Monday for the exclusive unedited debut of the song!

The last bit of news is that Andy Dick revealed that he be in his own Comedy Central show by the end of the year.

Tune into our podcast on Monday for the complete interview and all the details on his Comedy Central show as well as the chance to listen to the song "Jessica" that he debuted exclusively here on!
