The Fight for Internet-Based Respect

September 5, 2006

Although is definitely not nearly as large as either or The Movie Blog, I can say that we do have similar values and interests as the both of them. John Campea, the founder of The Movie Blog, posted a fantastic editorial article earlier criticizing CHUD and questioning the respect that movie websites don't seem to have.

As much as I rarely comment or link to many The Movie Blog posts, this post was a considerable step out of the ordinary and deserves some recognition. He makes one of the most appropriate and valid points I've ever heard from a fellow movie website. I hope this gets read by every other movie website owner (and reader) out there, because this is a "call-to-action" that every last one of us, no matter how big or how small, should improve the way we work and together help to establish respect on the internet. It's a pity that none of us have the respect that most truly deserve, and it's finally time someone has come out (thanks John) and made an effort to point out (and eventually fix) the problems.
