First Look: Edward Norton as The Incredible Hulk!
by Alex Billington
December 27, 2007
On an otherwise quiet Holiday week, a few new photos from The Incredible Hulk have debuted courtesy of Universal Pictures. Featured is the first look at Edward Norton as Bruce Banner also known as the Hulk. These are the very first photos we've seen of Norton in the film besides concept art of the Hulk. We've also included another Hulk photo that has been floating around the internet over the past week as well. Take a look - although it's late in its introduction, The Incredible Hulk still may be a big hit next summer!
Is it me or does this remind you of the original Iron Man photo? They've both got wife beater shirts on with their chests pumped out and working on something specific to their superhero.
Edward Norton stars in this new beginning as Bruce Banner, a scientist desperately hunting for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him - The Incredible Hulk.
Below is a concept photo of the new Hulk that has been floating around on the internet - a better look at the complete Hulk.
The Incredible Hulk is directed by French filmmaker Louis Leterrier of The Transporter, Unleashed, and The Transporter 2. The film arrives in theaters on June 13th.

Good point about the Iron Man photo. I hope a trailer for this comes out soon.

Let's also hope that Ed Norton brings life back to the Hulk. The last movie as we all know was a complete and utter failure.

What's the point of another HULK movie? The first one was a total disaster and a joke. The movie was a flop and a total waste of time. What's with Hollywood they no longer know how to produce films. No wonder the Brits are always on top... now they know how to make films. Mr.Norton has to withdraw from this farce of a movie... not good for his career... this will surely ruin him! Mr.Norton is a great actor and he should think twice before allowing the producers to release this joke of a movie. I was shopping at an indoor mall a few weeks ago... passed by a 99 cent store and saw the first Hulk movie in the window selling for 99 cents... now that is an appropriate price for this crappy movie. So will this one!

The point of another movie is to do justice to one of the greatest comic book characters of all time. No one left the Batman franchise for dead just because of a negative reaction to Batman and Robin. The Hulk will get his CPR!

Whoah, slow down there, Eddie. Now while I do have my reservations about a "re-do" so soon after the original (which I've never seen, but I saw the CG mutant dog fight scene, which is enough), but I'll reserve judgement on this until the trailer comes out.

The "other" incredible hulk film is still very much loved by my 7-year-old son. He was 3 when he saw it the first time, and couldn't stop watching.... So, maybe it did not go over well with its core audience (adults), but certain kids really liked it. Personally, I thought it was SO SLOW at the beginning. Eric Bana did a decent job of playing the role, but the story was doomed from the beginning. And absolutely no real chemistry between Eric Bana and Jennifer Connolly. The characters really were paper thin. I'm looking forward to seeing what Ed Norton will do with it. I haven't seen one film yet that he has done that would be considered a 'dud,' so I don't think he would have agreed to play the role if the script was below par. Just like Batman has been going on for years with different people in the role of Bruce Wayne, the Incredible Hulk will live again....

Never mind the Hulk. Can somebody with some brains please cast Matt Damon in a Captain America movie? After the Bourne films you know he's got the action chops as well as the acting skills. By the way, another similarity between the Tony Stark & Bruce Banner pics: Facial hair.

Maybe "Eddie Zee" didn't get what he wanted for Xmas or something š ... but seriously, I can understand Eddie's frustration with Hulk - it sucked. But you could see some potential. Therefore another Incredible Hulk movie is what's needed to wash away the aftertaste of Ang Lee's movie. I think Incredible Hulk will better Iron Man, but who knows.

Even if this movie sucks, why would it ruin Nortons career. Many did not like the first movie & Bana is still doing well. Eric Bana has been good in everything before & since Hulk. Here's the strange part. I thought the first movie was OK. Maybe because I wasn't expecting much to begin with. The movie wasn't great but I thought it was entertaining. In fact, I don't know anyone who disliked it. Strange huh?

I think many "true" Hulk fans were stung by the first adaption because of the super slow intro of the Hulk in 2003. Marvel was embarrassed by the outcome and wants to redeem itself with a "new" movie. Batman Begins breathed new life into that franchise after it going stale and Marvel saw fit not to let too much time pass to correct Ang Lee's mess. Don't get me wrong, I love the Hulk and enjoyed when he was on screen, but the rest was garbage. Being in production and knowing what I know, this movie will be the sleeper hit of the summer. The Marketing is being babyfed to us and I believe we will be in awe when we see the bid emerald beast. "Hulk smash!"

I really liked the 1st Hulk movie! I am almost 50 yrs old and I bought the Hulk comic books when I was a kid. I loved the CGI hulk and I think most of you are just comic book nerds/snobs! I also look forward to Ed Norton's interpertation of the big green guy....ya can never have too much Hulk!

I need to see the trailer for this to really be able to make up my mind about it. But having Edward Norton as the hulk in this movie should at least push this version three steps up from the 2003 Hulk

Just saw the "Incredible Hulk" trailer, and I have to say, it looks AWESOME. It's going to destroy the last one, big time. The Hulk himself looks great too. Can't wait to see the Hulk/Abomination fight at the end of the film. Looks a whole lot darker and meaner too. The new version of "the Punisher" sounds promising too. "Iron Man", "the Dark Knight", "the Watchman", "the Incredible Hulk", "Punisher: War Zone" and "Hellboy: the Golden Army"... this is going to be a kick-ass comic-book movie summer, fo sho!

No one mentioned the fact that the machine Ed is sitting in looks amazingly like the one Bill Bixby used in the Hulk TV series. CGI makes so much more possible now, and keeps getting better- this Hulk should be good.

I keep reading people "dissing" the first HULK movie... Are they all mentally challenged? I am almost 41 years old, I grew up reading HULK comics (in fact I have many of them still). While I will admit the first movie was not perfect, it was NOT A āDISASTERā or āTERRIBLEā. I feel like Ang Lee tried to remain true to the comic and comic book genre. I can only imagine the people writing such garbage are āyoungstersā who donāt really remember the HULK or original HULK comics. Anyway, thatās my rant... Enjoy! =)

I agree with Naughty Monkey. Ang Lee for the most part did remain mostly true to the comic & comic book genre ( I don't agree to the Hulk growing to 15 feet when he got angrier) but for the most part it was a decent movie. Slow but decent. This new Incredible Hulk movie rocked BIG time and was so much better than Ironman, and I liked the Ironman movie, but HULK SMASHED!!

One of Norton's biggest fans ---who has to admit his work and career choices these past few years have been an astounding disappointment.
