Worth Watching - Mar 17: The Savages Trailer

Don't let the name fool you, this is a great dark comedy that I had a fantastic time watching out at Sundance (read the review here). You wouldn't think Philip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Linney would be that funny, but honestly, they're a LOT better than many other actors who are paid to be comedic on a regular basis. Despite you'll have to wait all the way until September 7th to finally see this, at least open your mind now and start to get acquainted. This is definitely a worth watching on St. Patrick's Day - I promise.
The Savages was written and directed by filmmaker Tamara Jenkins, who previously directed the indie movie Slums of Beverly Hills. It will open in select US theaters starting on February 1st, 2008 this winter.
