Fast and Furious Trailer

New model. Original parts. Universal has debuted the impressive first trailer for Fast and Furious, the fourth film in the successful series of adrenaline-fueled car movies. If you thought the Transporter 3 trailer was badass, just wait until you see this. I'm not sure how, but I've become instantly excited for this fourth film from the series, even though I completely hated the idea of the third one, Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Universal has done a fantastic job of turning this movie into one of the big events of next year. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewster have all returned and are ready to kick some more ass and race some more cars in Fast and Furious. Definitely be sure to check this trailer out!

Fast and Furious is directed by up-and-coming Taiwanese filmmaker Justin Lin, of Better Luck Tomorrow, Annapolis, and of course, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. The screenplay was written by Chris Morgan, of Cellular, Tokyo Drift, and Wanted. Fast and Furious races into theaters on April 3rd.

Sweet. I'm there. Bring on the hate. I love these flicks. Popcorn flicks to the max.

NOW THAT'S THE SEQUEL THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE!!! but why why WHY did they do that to a grand national....i need to go cry. syked to death by this one after that trailer!

thejugfather on Aug 25, 2008

Well, I for one don't quite share Alex's enthusiasm. QUITE. I mean, sure, that looks kind of fun. Not so much a trailer as a clip with a frenetic montage at the end. I didn't see 3 Fast 3 Furious and I don't really care to, but this one I will see. If all the originals signed on for another script, it's either half decent or they're paying them a lot of money. Let's hope it's the former. P.S. I'm still pissed at Michelle Rodriguez for shooting Shannon.

Icarus on Aug 25, 2008

Anybody know the name of the song in the trailer?

Crighton on Aug 25, 2008

oh bring on the haters!! This movie is going to have just as many people siked to see it as groaning over a gross lack of judgement on the studio's part. Personally, I'm ecstatic! I just hope that we've seen all the best parts of the movie already... oh and I so agree with Icarus, I hope everyone signed on because the script was just that good, and not because they got paid a lot of money (which I'm sure they'll all need!)

MyOwnSkye on Aug 25, 2008

Yes must know the name of the song, bad ass beat

OCP on Aug 25, 2008

it's 'we are rockstars' by 'Does it offend you, yeah?'

mark on Aug 25, 2008

The song is "We Are Rockstars" by Does It Offend You, Yeah? check them out.

Chris on Aug 25, 2008

Blake B on Aug 25, 2008

Oh yeah....I'll see that! Love Jordana Brewster more than the franchise, but I could learn to love them both a little more.

ImaginaryVisionary on Aug 25, 2008

Fox is shooting themselves in the foot. They even tried to changed the look of one of the sets from the upcoming Wolverine movie, Because it was too dark and grim for them.

TigerClaw on Aug 25, 2008

hated the third one but with the cast back from the first it should be one hell of a ride cant wait, and my god is Jordana Brewster ever hawt!!!

Curits on Aug 25, 2008

Here here Icarus! I'm looking forward to this as well.

Keith on Aug 25, 2008

I'm game.

Xerxex on Aug 25, 2008

first things first, I like this preview and will definitely see this movie. I just wanted to share something with the masses: food for thought 5 gas trailers are shown in this video 1.4 million dollars worth of gas that comes to $280,000 per trailer states that the capacity of these fuel containers are 4000 - 9000 gallons Let's go overboard and say that these trucks can carry 10,000 gallons. That would mean that the gas they are carrying is worth $28 a gallon.

Mike McRorey on Aug 25, 2008

Mike McRorey, just because they are tankers it doesn't mean they have to be carrying gasoline, could be rocket fuel or something else, is that $28 a gallon? I will so be there, loved the first movie. Only one small complaint. Taking out The, and the out of the title and changing nothing else is just a bit lazy. I said it was small.

Moviegimp on Aug 25, 2008

i'm down. but i'm with chris, i hope paul walker learned how to act. but i'm pretty sure he's still the same cause no one has told him to fix it.

craziemutant on Aug 25, 2008

I absolutely love this franchise. When I heard that they were making a fourth, I admit that I was a bit skeptical, but after seeing this trailer, I can't wait to see the flick. It's gonna be sweet as hell.

Morgan on Aug 25, 2008

other than paul walker being back im actually excited about a fast and the furious movie woah

harrison on Aug 25, 2008

kickass lol yeah i'm with chris i hope Walker learned how to act

Silver on Aug 25, 2008

nice! i love how they got the old crew back, should be good watching

Josveta on Aug 25, 2008

I have to disagree with everyone (even Alex for once) The only thing cool about the first three movies was the cars. Everything else- Corny, Corny, Corny. Tyrese was corny (and not a great actor) Paul Walker, Vin Diesel (also not great actors) I'm sorry but after being let down by the previous movies it's hard to get siked for this one. If anyone actually thought the first two were good movies then you need to watch more movies. I liked the techno track over the trailer but that was it.

vu on Aug 25, 2008

looks like it could be an awesome flick - weird how a franchise veers off and gets new stars only for the previous stars to return in the sequel to the sequel. Who would have thought... none the less it looks like a lot of fun - but seriously nearly a year away? Come on!

dom on Aug 25, 2008

JV on Aug 25, 2008

hate to say it but i am actually anxious for this movie.

The Delightful Deviant on Aug 25, 2008

holy shit! 31 posts and no one is slamming this movie? WTF? Has hell frozen over?? Yeah i wanna see it to.

Grazatron on Aug 25, 2008

i so missed #27 -_-

Grazatron on Aug 25, 2008

This is the last film before Diesel goes to the straight-to-DVD market. Mark my words.

Squiggly_P on Aug 25, 2008

holy shit im there! the first one is one of my fave films of all time and third one was good too (let's not even mention #2 in the same sentence) and i really hope this franchise can get back on track. i know it's a prequel, but is it between the first and 2nd or the 2nd and 3rd?

LeeMan on Aug 25, 2008

Nice this looks awesome. I really love the first one. Say what you want, but there aren't many car movies out there with as sweet rides as these films. I love Japanese tuner cars and this looks to be more of the same. Throw in the underrated action star Vin Diesel, who I quite like by the way, and it looks to be a winner. PS My buddy used to HATE Vin Diesel, but then I showed him Pitch Black (which he had written off because of Diesel) and he now likes him. Say what you want, but Vin Diesel is a passable action star, he has just taken some nasty roles in the past, but damn when he nails it he kicks ass. Like Arnold he plays the same role every time, but it is a fun role lol.

mrsatan on Aug 25, 2008

I for one am looking forward to this!

Megan on Aug 25, 2008

i must admit i'm excited about this film, but it has to be more gritty than flashy like the first one. the two sequels were all show with no content. this fourth film will only succeed if it's as intense and dramatic as the first one...somewhat like mann's miami vice. but i may be wrong because i am under the presumption that paul walker is still an undercover cop? if not...then it may be harder to pull off because of the lack of ulterior motives, a la face-off.

Matt Suhu on Aug 25, 2008

wow... i thought i would never say it, but: I cant wait for the next Fast and Furious movie!!! Bring it on! .. I only liked the 1st and some parts of the 2nd; yea tyrese was annoying but at least they showed more of the street cars that a majority of people actually enjoy. The 3rd film: total crap, i also didnt like the joke about Hyundai cars...people be jealous of Koreans man...

Nikhil Hariharan on Aug 25, 2008

can't f'n wait for that shit...

mike on Aug 25, 2008

Whoa whoa whoa. How is it possible that everyone is talking so positively about this movie?! Wait, I figured it out. The majority of those who are posting is already resigning to the inevitable lack of story and acting. We're all just psyched to see hot ass and hot cars (in that order for me). It's like I'm saying, "Man, look at that greasy hamburger. It's probably made from grade D meat, is filled with things that are bad for me, and was probably made by someone who just did it for a paycheck. But damn does that thing look delicious." Fast and furious is the next fast food burger to be churned out of Hollywood, and though I'm mildly ashamed to say it, it does look pretty appetizing.

Icarus on Aug 26, 2008

JDM YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111

Vin diesel on Aug 26, 2008

I heard that Michelle Rodriguez only has a small role in this movie. Also, Vin Diesel doesn't show up til about half way.

kiet on Aug 26, 2008

I cannot wait!! That is a damn good trailer 🙂

kevin on Aug 26, 2008

First film was good, not too cheesy. Second film was total rubbish far too OTT for my liking. Tokyo Drift was probably my favourite. Just hoping this one dosent let itself down by going OTT like the second one, from what i can see from the trailer (cars handbraking and anchoring themselves to lorries) looks like its going to be another OTT f&f film... 🙁

Steve on Aug 26, 2008

Mmmmm, Jordana... Question, though. So is this installment of the franchise steering clear of the street racing thing? I mean it's been the driving element of the past three movies but it looks like they're pulling the breaks on that angle.

Frame on Aug 26, 2008

I don't see how people can hate on the third one, what exactly was wrong with it. It was a car movie with awesome car scenes using real cars, not some shitty cgi like the second one. It had nice cars that manage not to be too over the top (mostly a matter of opinion), I mean they actually did a little research into the drifting world to know that 350z silvias and rx7's are pretty big in that world. I thought the directing was pretty good as well, Justin Lin is one of favorites, but thats probably because I'm asian. The third pretty much redeemed the series, without it I don't think there would have been a fourth. The only reason the original actors are probably coming back is because they saw how much money the series can still make when the third one came out, and with being the washed-up actors they are, they probably jumped at the opportunity when they were asked. I mean paul walker and vin diesel have to be the worst actors of all time, bra... Besides tyrese, but he's seemed to redeem himself with Transformers. The main actor from the third was pretty bad too, but Han pretty much took the spot light from him. Speaking of which, where's Han in this trailer? They should have did like third and used no name actors. I can't believe how much hotter Jordana looked than in the original. Totally going to be there opening night with my little honda. btw I thought the hyundai joke was hilarious.

i'm glad rob cohen didn't direct this one

Darrin on Aug 26, 2008

Not bad.. Nothing bad at all..

Deepak T on Aug 27, 2008

Looks pretty alright. That poor Grand National.... So in this movie does Tyrese go off to join the military and become BA in the next A-team flick? 🙂 I strongly hope we just didn't see the movie's main action sequence.

jmoney on Aug 27, 2008

Wow, big surprise with the lack of bashing on this. It seems we all share the same secret adoration for the first and third films and all share the hate for the second. I blame paul walker for the 2nds terribleness but i guess tyrese is just as much to blame, i mean hell ludacris was 10 times as good in his small role. I thought the original cast clicked really well so it's nice to see them back together for this one. and Mrsatan, Pitch Black is definitely one of my favorite movies and without a doubt Vin's best role, unless you count The Pacifier (j/k)

Alexander on Aug 28, 2008

hell yeah, Im definitely gonna be there!!!!! It looks good just by the previews

zach on Sep 3, 2008

I will be there opening nite!

TREY on Sep 4, 2008

Actually because of Tyrese part 2 fast 2 furious was probably my favourite film of the series. I like Paul Walker, and So really enjoyed the first two films, but then HATED Tokyo drift which was total sh!te. Delighted to see the original cast back for part four which is gonna be AWESOME. bring it on!

Juan Kerr on Sep 11, 2008

Now this is the sequel that should have been made, damn, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster are FINE. And yeah, Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, they're alright too. Damn, I am there...!

Rick on Sep 22, 2008

thanks for coming back Vinnny. I know you don't like making sequels man. But this Fast and Furious franchise needed you back. And i can't wait for XxX either.

MIKEakaMASS on Oct 25, 2008

MIKEakaMASS on Oct 25, 2008
