Alternate Comcast On Demand Trailer for The Dark Knight

An alternate trailer for The Dark Knight has appered on Comcast On Demand and can be watched below. I'm really not fond of this trailer at all. It isn't cut together well, the music seems off, there is hardly any new footage, and it's just a rehash of the phenomenal second trailer that came out in May. However, it does have some great quotes. "This city deserves a better class of criminal… And I'm going to give it to them." "Know your limits Master Wayne. Perhaps this is a man you don't understand. Some men just want to watch the world burn." And of course, the underlying theme of the movie. "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." And just because I know everyone is in the mood for all things Dark Knight, you're all going to watch it anyway - enjoy!
Watch the alternate trailer for The Dark Knight:
Don't forget to also follow the on-going viral marketing game for The Dark Knight. We'll continue to provide extensive up-to-date coverage on all aspects of the viral marketing as we near the July release date.
The Dark Knight is directed by brilliant filmmaker Christopher Nolan, of Memento, Batman Begins, and The Prestige previously. The film was co-written by Nolan, his brother Jonathan Nolan (The Prestige), and David S. Goyer (Blade, Batman Begins). Batman is part of the DC Comics universe of legendary superheroes. The Dark Knight will arrive in theaters worldwide on July 18th this summer.
That was nice! A few extras in there.

i had to stop in middle of it it is giving away too much. this movie is going to be beyond everything.
Davor on Jun 15, 2008
i'm now a bit not looking forward to batman. this trailer was just like the spiderman 3 trailers or the island trailer. They gave away the elements of suprise.
darrin on Jun 15, 2008
no they did not darrin they give nothing away chris nolan wouldnt give anything away on trailer dont forget he is all about surpise
jono on Jun 15, 2008
@jono - What do you mean "they give nothing away chris nolan wouldnt give anything away on trailer..."? They show you exactly how Harvey Dent gets disfigured.
Nunya on Jun 15, 2008
I think you still don't know everything about Dark Knight and I am agree with Jono that Nolan didn't give everything away in the Trailer .... If you really want to be spoiled and know what will happen more in that movie then read my blog and see what I found in : http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&FriendID=137086138&blogMonth=5&blogDay=30&blogYear=2008 but if you don't want to be spoiled then it is better to not read it and wait for more surprises from The Dark Knight 😉

"I'll settle for his loved ones." - J0K3R Damn those Nolan Bros sure can write some marvelous dialogue.
TheGuyInThePJ's on Jun 15, 2008
@cheater From what I have seen I believe the cape comes out like a parachute or something like that.

I have to say, I'm also a little disappointed at how much this trailer showed. I wish I hadn't watched it. They did NOT just show how Dent getting disfigured!! NOT OK!
Traveler on Jun 15, 2008
All they show is Harvey on the ground with some acid, how does that ruin anything? We all know it happens, and that part just seems like the tip of the iceberg with that scene. I dont see why people are complaining, nothing really new was in this except for what we already know.
John on Jun 15, 2008
They showed that clip of Dent getting disfigured in the previous trailer. No surprise there.
Nettle on Jun 15, 2008
Yeah, I second that comment John. If anyone watched the old Batman movies, or is in possession of any type of general knowledge about Batman's villains, they will know how Harvey Dent gets screwed up. Nolan probably has Eckhart put in a lot more emotion in the scene and there's most likely a huge build up to it too, so let's not get carried away just yet. 😀 BESIDES, this is just a few minutes. Think about all the other goodies good ol' Chris Nolan has in store for us. YAY for July 18 and quite possibly the comic book movie that'll bring respect to the comic book movie genre.

Can't wait until this comes out but it just doesn't look as exciting anymore since i've seen The Incredible Hulk. Sshyt I want to got see it again, what an INCREDIBLE movie. I guess the excitement will come back when it gets closer and closer to release.

Even the worst Dark Knight trailer is better than The Happening.
DCompose on Jun 16, 2008
A monkey making hand paintings is better than the happening.

"what no one has asked is who is jumping of the sky scraper it isnt batman because he has no cape mabye twoface or even cat woman." i think anyone with a shred of common sense realize that that's obviously Batman testing out the new suit.
Tom on Jun 16, 2008
The movie is 2 hours and 32 minutes long. I don't think this trailer is giving it all away. And, that's obviously Batman jumping off that building in Japan.
