HOLY SHIT!!!!!! This is going to restart the Trek all over again. Abrams seems like he is getting better and better, I really hope this lives up to what we see here.
THERBLIG on Nov 25, 2008
Very cool!! I heard Shatner really wanted a camio but got turned down and he's pissed. Boo Hoo T.J. Hooker

Im really looking forward to this movie the more I see of it.
Dave on Nov 25, 2008
It looks awesome, a TV spot was just released also for it. I think it will be a sure thing for the studios.
Atomic Popcorn on Nov 25, 2008
Why didn't Star Trek start off as cool as this? If they can make a tv series as good, then we're talking. -mochonko
mochonk0 on Nov 25, 2008
It's always nice to see Leonard Nemoy as Spock again 🙂

#1- It was announced a long time ago. #4- There was a miscommunication between the people who work for William Shatner and JJ Abrams. Shatner would've liked to cameo but Abrams was told that Shatner was not interested. Shatner is still a fan and in his own words he "can't wait to see the movie."
BahHumbug on Nov 25, 2008
I'm not much of a Trek fan, but that easily doubled the coolness of the trailer.
Michael on Nov 25, 2008
HO-LY SHIT I must show this trailer to my doubting friends...
Rob G on Nov 25, 2008
the trailer looks amazing and is getting me pumped for the film, even though im not a huge trek fan. however, as awsome as it was to see nemoy, i kind of wish he wasnt in the trailer and didnt make a cameo. i understand how it is out of respect for the old series, but i think that for "rebuilding the series" it doesnt help, and with how awsome the footage looks, it doesnt seem to be needed. either way though, the trailer is awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
zach s on Nov 25, 2008
That bolero really works. I hope the film lives up to this trailer. Live Long and Prosper!
moif on Nov 25, 2008
I just can't get over how Simon Pegg and John Cho are in this. That's awesome.

I must say this movie will be badass, but i must also say Fuck You JJ Abrams for excluding Shatner.
dac_fan on Nov 25, 2008
That makes it even MORE exciting to see! I can't wait, now!
Brian on Nov 25, 2008
wow...so Kirk started off as a punk ass car thief....not impressed at all...whole thing still looks gay...I'll save my $$$ for something good...
cornholio_by_the_sea on Nov 25, 2008
Wait... so at 1:08 it's Quinto's Spock, and not Nimoy's?
Luis M on Nov 25, 2008
That isn't Spock at all Luis M. Its Spocks father Sarek played by Ben Cross.
Craig on Nov 25, 2008
Leonard Nimoy... cool... how old is he? 120? Anyway, he's the man! eh... vulcan! This movie is going to be AWESOME (yes, we are all geeks, so what the f$%&!!!)
Jorge Leiner on Nov 25, 2008
Never cared for Star Trek... Definitely going to watch this movie... I hope Syler doesn't try to steal powers... God Bless the Star Trek episode of Futurama...
Jace on Nov 25, 2008
Just when I thought this movie couldnt get any less impressive...
TBone on Nov 25, 2008
Simply awesome. It really would be nice if this movie was still coming out on Christmas Day. Instead, The Spirit and Valkyrie; both of which look underwhelming.
John on Nov 25, 2008
---------- I don`t know but I have a feeling that Shatner will have his camio in this movie althought he is not mentioned in the credits etc. But think a little bit, the guy is an icon! It is almost unbelievable that he won`t be in this project (especially if Nimoy is). Abbrams is a master of suspence, in my opinion it is only a marketing trick to gasp everybody in amazement at the premiere in cinemas!!!!!!! But of course I can be wrong;) But if I were a producer I would do so! What you guys think??? ----------
szkari on Nov 26, 2008
I'm glad that Shatner's not in it. The guy's so full of himself, just read any of the stories from any of the original cast of Star Trek. Nimoy sure looks quite old in that trailer, cool that he's it in though.. Just his voice has a great sound to it.
John on Nov 26, 2008
That was awesome...that easily too the trailer to a whole new level!!!!
TREY on Nov 26, 2008
Nemoy.... DAMN YOU OLD MAN... hahaha Nice find... glad to see they exposed this scene... cause that DOES NOT GIVE AWAY ANYTHING... GRRRRRR... damn trailers... I am cutting off and further trailers to be viewed by me for this movie. Wait, you know I will still watch them if you post them Alex.. so quit it.... Having all these trailers that are BAD for me to watch is like dropping David Duchovny off at a damned Strip Joint... YOU CAN'T HELP YOURSELF.
Dusty on Nov 26, 2008
and neither is J J Abrams
You are all very not cool on Nov 26, 2008
At long bloody ass - A star trek film that looks exciting - I'm star wars fan so to see trek trailer like this is an event in itself because star trek usually looks under budget, crap and boring if the motion picture is anything to go by - the voyage home? dolphins?
RDH on Nov 26, 2008
I meant to write 'at long bloody last!'
RDH on Nov 26, 2008
Star Trek does look good - but I'm afraid 'Watchmen' looks better
RDH on Nov 26, 2008
I am going to have a fangirl heart attack.
LRS on Nov 26, 2008
I am by no means a Trekie, but this movie really interests me and I truly cannot wait to see it. Looks great.
Michael Radley on Nov 27, 2008
Wow, simply amazing. Nimoy's presence definitely overshadows any of the continuity issues the hard core trekkers have brought up, especially considering the fact that production would have been halted for script revisions if he had had any problems with it. I'm a lifelong fan of the franchise and think Abrams take on it will bring it back to what it was meant to be. The cast looks great, the story looks great... although I really hope they bring back the constant bickering between Bones and Spock, while Kirk sits back and watches. That was such an integral aspect of the relationship between the three and I don't see how they could leave that out. I am especially excited to see Karl Urban's portrayal of McCoy, and the fact that he's also a lifelong trekkie is promising. Can't wait!
Josh on Nov 27, 2008
Good job Josh....Shut up Boner!

Never have I been more interested to see a Star Trek movie! I kind of hate Star Trek too! Funny ain't it! Only because it was forced upon me though! Dad and his star trek! Well anyways looks like some good shizzle! Put that whole new cast in a new Star Trek I think I would watch it then!
Aaron on Dec 2, 2008
HOLY CRAP!!!! THIS TRAILER IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!! HELL YEAH LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!!!
Yaten24 on Dec 3, 2008
Ah there it is... that wasn't worth watching again. Still looks like a good reboot though.
Syphous on Dec 7, 2008
This Is going to be cool! Star Trek Meets Star Wars!! Not a Star Trek Fan but this looks preeting Freaking Damn Good!
Jazz on Dec 10, 2008
I love the trailer. I just hope the movie doesn't end up following previous Star Trek movies and being, "Days of Our Lives In Space."
ezza on Dec 11, 2008
The majority of people who have blogged here must be teenagers. First off, it was announced long ago that Spock would travel back in time to talk to his younger version, to set him straight so to say. This movie might as well have a new ship, crew members with a new name and no Spock, JJ Abrams has totally ruined the franchise, now we have a Mission Impossible in space.
TekMainiac on Dec 13, 2008
This looks absolutely incredible. I can't wait. The hell with canon. All I care about is a decent movie.
LoLa on Dec 14, 2008
I heard this movie, though it puts a different spin on The Original Series, respects Star Trek continuity and canon. Someone said in a recent comment on my blog, Spock will flash forward to meet himself in a post-Star Trek Nemesis future. This is interesting because I'd assumed that Star Trek would just be a complete franchise reboot!
Leyton Jay on Dec 17, 2008
This is beautiful! My heart melted at the sight of Nimoy. I can't wait for this to come out! Here's hoping it's as great as it looks!
Kate on Dec 17, 2008
Here's hoping the keep to the spirit of Star Trek, which is not action, but more in the vein of political thriller...
q42 on Dec 18, 2008
That...started out cool....then it got progressively worse...fuck Star Trek. Hope all you other people enjoy it though.
Kingbender on Dec 24, 2008
awesome! I dont think we need to dig to deep into the meaning of trek life.....just look at the movie for what its worth. I say it looks hair raisingly promissing!!!!

I have to say that I first thought that the new Transformers trailer was the best thing I ever saw but after watching this one again, I am sure that this is the most anticipated movie this year for me. I even got my wife stoked about this movie, and she hates TOS.
