Before you head to sleep this Sunday night and wake up to start another day of work (or school) this Monday, I think it's worth your time to check out this spiffy new Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Poster poster, as drawn by Drew Struzan. Like its predecessors (as seen below), the poster features a great mural including all of the cast and scenes from the film. Although I'm maybe more excited for The Dark Knight and Wall-E this summer, the nostalgia for Indiana Jones IV is definitely kicking in. Check out the first teaser poster as well as the first teaser trailer and then enjoy this last final poster before the film arrives late this May.
The rest of the article (from ShoWest) on USA Today talks about buzz for the summer and whether May will be as big as last year (personally, I think it will be).
"We certainly come into this summer with more question marks," says Paul Dergarabedian of Media By Numbers. "I think what Hollywood hopes to do is have two really solid movies for every huge hit we had last year. But that means more movies have to perform."
In addition, the article includes a little snippet about the plot consideration and the alien crystal skull that we posted previously. Although we were forced to remove that photo of the skull, you can now see it prominently "glowing" in the middle of the poster.
The new poster for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the CrystalSkull confirms something alien is afoot.
The first poster for the film (due May 22) featured part of the title relic, but there was always something odd about the eye socket. In the follow-up, also by sci-fi/fantasy movie artist Drew Struzan, it's clear the skull is not at all human. Add to that the recent trailer, with its shot of a crate labeled "Roswell, New Mexico 1947," and you don't need to be a professor of archaeology to put the pieces together.
Other clues: Looks as if our hero will face his least-favorite animal and the locals at some Maya ruins. Karen Allen (who also was in 1981's original) seems to be enjoying herself, though.
For reference, here are the previous Indiana Jones posters from the original three movies. We featured the teaser posters on the previous article, now it's just the official final posters for each of the three films.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg with a story by George Lucas and screenplay by David Koepp (Mission: Impossible, Spider-Man, War of the Worlds). The movie is the fourth in the Indiana Jones series and takes place in the 1950s, around 20 years after Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull arrives in theaters this summer on May 22nd! If you haven't seen it yet, you should also watch the very first teaser trailer.

I like it, hand drawn posters are always better then those crappy 2 hour photoshoped floating head ones.

Umm. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade takes place in 1938, not 1918.

It's the same as the previous three, iconic and amazing. The "fresh by" date of May 22 kinda stands out a bit though. But I guess that was their intention.
