First Photos From Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Remarkably we're in the thick of the summer only five months away from the theatrical arrival of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and we haven't seen any official photos or a teaser trailer or poster or anything. I'm sure that will all change as we near the release date and the buzz begins to pick up, but for now we've got the only three photos available for the sixth installment of the Harry Potter series. Director David Yates, of Order of the Phoenix, returns to direct this film as well. I won't attempt to try and decipher when or where these scenes depicted below take place to save any of you from being spoiled. However, we most certainly hope you enjoy our first glimpse at the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Photos removed at the request of Warner Brothers.

Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information.

Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn't counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simpering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is again directed by David Yates, of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix previously, and written by Steve Kloves, who also wrote Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire but NOT Order of the Phoenix. The film currently arrives in theaters on November 21st.

Hey! It's Harry, Ron, Hermione, Snape, Draco, Filch etc. Well, we've seen it all before, I hope we get a look at Jim Broadbent as Slugworth soon.

I kept meaning to ask you why there isn't anything out for it. The movie will be amazing.

I waiting for the Teaser !!! Why there isn't poster & others official stuffs??? :'-(

Florian on Jun 1, 2008

"And then there's Hermione, simpering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. " Surely, you meant "simmering"?

yabo on Jun 1, 2008

Is this the one where Dumbledore dies?

Dan on Jun 1, 2008

I don't really think there's any chance of this movie being "amazing" compared to the books, these movies blow. The only good thing about them is Hermione.....that's pretty much it

Looks amazing, can't wait for the trailer!

Sam on Jun 1, 2008

Okay, I've watched all the Harry Potter films and I gotta be honest. They suck! The best one is part 2. The girl does more magic than Potter, Ron is a side kick that never does anything and Potter is just confused at his life! The best opportunity for the movie to shine was the last film when they finally had a fight scene and it was ok. So what looks amazing from a few photos of kids sitting down? These movies are all pretty terrible & should have been condensed into 3 films with more action, different and older actors that resemble the earlier actors like Star Wars I & II even though CH is not a very good actor. Personally, while yall camped out & lined up in Potter costumes I'll watch this film in the comfort of my home on Bootleg.

Tirrell on Jun 2, 2008

Just because you don't like the movies and don't think it looks good doesn't mean that I will think the same thing. Go enjoy some other movies please and don't even bother bootlegging the movie if it is going to suck so bad.

Sam on Jun 2, 2008

Figured a trailer or just a simple teaser would be out 🙁 Will be watching this one...................

SHANE D on Jun 2, 2008

Hey I'm no bootlegger. But shit, now a days Bootlegs are clear as hell & Potter would be a good one to get since it's horrible anyway. lol

Tirrell on Jun 2, 2008

Tirell => I am not all right with you, because films are for the most part of the fans too short! Thus if you wanted to make just 3 films that would have distorted the series, and so the history(story)! For me films are not rather complete, but I know that a book of 1000 pages cannot be retranscribed in only 2 hours!

Florian on Jun 2, 2008

This is so unbelievebly exciting. I hope they don't ruin it like the 4th book.

Anthony on Jun 2, 2008

It's weird that they asked you guys to take them down because the large harry potter fansites still have them up. You would think that they would ask all websites to remove them. Strange.
