First Teaser Trailer for Marley and Me - So Cute!
Don't be fooled - although this may possibly be the cutest puppy you will ever see, he is one hell of a demon! I'm going to make a confession before we get further into this. I love dogs more than almost anything (except of course movies). I may be a bit biased when it comes canines, so expect an exuberant amount of love for this little film. Marley & Me stars Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston as brother and sister and is an adaptation of John Grogan's memoirs titled Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog. That should cue you in on what this movie is really about. Here's another quick synopsis: a family learns important life lessons from their adorable, but naughty and neurotic dog.
When it comes to dog movies, I'd take this one over Beverly Hills Chihuahua any day. That'll be the last time I ever mention that atrocity. From what I've seen here, this is going to be such a great flick to go see with the whole family on Christmas! Way better than last year's Water Horse.

Marley & Me is directed by David Frankel, of "Sex and the City" and The Devil Wears Prada previously. The screenplay was adapted by Oscar nominated screenwriter Scott Frank (Out of Sight, Minority Report, The Lookout) and is based off of the book Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog written by John Grogan. Marley & Me arrives in theaters everywhere on Christmas Day this year.
MY EYES!!!!! You sir, deserve a severe beating for pointing me in the general direction of the Beverly Hills Chihuahua trailer. The sight of hundreds of singing, creepy, bad-CGI dogs is forever burned into my mind. I'm not visiting your site for an entire week because of it. Ugh, I'm off to take a bath.

Ummm, how is this even a trailer?

Have u no shame? Jen Anniston chasing after a mere puppy while one frame down, Angelina continues to blow up shit? What a b-a Angelina is. Love Jen, but come on. Marliiiiiiiii!!!!! BC Powder

I'm not saying I don't like the idea of the movie, but that trailer completely blows. That was just... awful.

It does look cute and I like the tag line Heel the Love. Clever. Although, I think trailers with that music are so cliche. Yeah, I can't believe that Beverly Hills Chihuahua got made.
Janet on Jun 3, 2008
Love it.You need to change your write up.Jennifer and Owen play husband and wife in Marley and me-not brother and sister...this is going to be a great movie.By using this in the trailer it showed me they are staying true to the book!!!

CUTE CUTE CUTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awwww, so cute. The book was a great read for dog-lovers - hope they don't mess this up completely. And thanks so much even mentioning that damned Beverly Hills Chihuahua movie - I really didn't need the mental recall cue. Yuck.

Dang it.. and the whole time I was waiting for the pup to turn around and start chewing off Owen's leg... dang.. maybe the next trailer will give me what I want... HEHEHE
Dusty on Jun 3, 2008
Rad, another Scott Frank script. Hopefully he will direct again sometime soon.

Lets just say the best part of the trailer was not the dog, the ocean or Owen Wilson...
Steve on Jun 3, 2008
I'm ok with the trailer. The dog is cute, maybe Owen and Jeniffer should run on the beach ala Baywatch style. The only thing I really hate is the Olympic music! Stop abusing it already!!!!!!!!

'The Olympic music'...oh, boy...
Derek on Jun 4, 2008
I think you missed the allusion to Chariots of Fire there d_c.

Ouch. I just had to watch that chihuahua trailer. Maybe the worst thing I've seen in a while. How the hell did they hook all those big names for that filth?

I have to say, I couldn't get through the book. They just humanized Marley wayyyy too much. Having him lift his leg and peeing on the teacher in the dog class when he was asked to leave for being too rowdy. Like "take that!". The way the book was written was just too precious for me. And I'm a dog lover, I have three. And to make matters worse, they cast Owen stinkin' Wilson in the film. No sale here.

Owen and Jen play husband and wife. I loved the book and can't wait to see the movie.

Um....did nothing for me at all. That teaser tells me nothing.
Heckle on Jun 4, 2008
I like the fact that they are at least making a larger budget film about a dog, but the trailer is terrible the second they cut to wilson and Aniston, to staged. This is not a movie that should be doing teasers, the arrogance that it is because of 1 star and a woman that has never been a real a list star is both arrogant and insulting. Jolie, Smith, Clooney, hanks, Roberts, Bale, Pitt, to name a few are stars who can show a title and nothing else in a trailer besides there name and get there following excited.

This movie is being filmed like less then 30minutes away from me so I am curious about it. So much paparazzi around Philly now. Demi Moore is in town too.
Ryan on Jun 4, 2008
PUH ... LEEZZ. Let's just hope the movie isn't as bad as the trailer.
DJH on Jun 4, 2008
its not a bad trailer, its a teaser, your minds will change when the theatrical trailer comes out

Every since Owen Wilson's stint in the hospital he never has seemed very funny to me. Drillbit Taylor was God awful and now whenever I see any of his previous work it always makes me depressed. Hopefully this movie will be good enough to reverse my thinking.

I saw boobs bouncing in slow-mo, I'm happy.

I've heard that music so much, but I don't know the title. Might go good with a corny home video I'm making. Anybody know the song title?

chariots of fire dumbass.
lyndsey on Jun 8, 2008
Omg, I loved the book, I'm seeing it even if it sucks. xD And uh, Rob...they didn't humanize Marley at all...the book was a true story, written by the owner himself. lol
Guy Who is a Person on Jun 8, 2008
Isn't it enough that you put Owen Wilson next to Adrian Brody? You've already made me lose any respect I could've had for him. But now you're putting him next to JENNIFER ANISTON!! FUCK YOU WORLD! Why don't Matthew McConaughey and him just jump into a steel capsule and be shot into space. I can safely say that I will sooner put my entire hand in my own ass then go see that movie. The end.
C.M Lamson on Jun 30, 2008
what is the title of the background music?
joseph guerrero on Sep 16, 2008
um....i thought it was adorable!!! i LOVED the book, and as a dog owner my whole life and the owner of 2 labs, i must say i cannot wait for this movie to come out!! i just hope that they havent changed it too much, i see jen and owen are brother and sister in the movie?? not husband and wife?? wtf?! thats what the whole book is about!!! anyways, loved the pup running in the sand and them chasing him!
