Must Watch: First Quantum of Solace Teaser Trailer!
Last week we gave you a short teaser, now here it is - the full teaser trailer for Quantum of Solace. I wish there was more, but this is an awesome teaser for the upcoming 22nd Bond film and it looks even better than Casino Royale! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to see Bond franchise return so triumphantly at this point in time. I'm a huge Bond fan and have been since I was a kid. Daniel Craig is a phenomenal new Bond and I think director Marc Forster is going to deliver an incredible follow up to Casino Royale this fall. This trailer will show in front of Hancock this week, but just in case you don't want to waste your money on that terrible film, then check out the brand new teaser trailer below. With the debut of this new teaser, we've got to ask what you thought? Has it converted you into a Bond fan?

Quantum of Solace is directed by Marc Forster, of Monster's Ball, Finding Neverland, Stranger Than Fiction, and The Kite Runner previously. The screenplay was penned by both Robert Wade (Die Another Day, Johnny English, Casino Royale) and Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby, Flags of Our Fathers, Casino Royale). This is the 22nd Bond film in the series that first began back in 1962 with Dr. No. Sony Pictures will be releasing Quantum of Solace in theaters on November 14th this year.
I know consider myself officially teased. How cool does Daniel Craig look in his shades and suit and carrying a big effin' gun?

He looks like...like... James Bond!!! He really is James Bond.. there is no other way to describe it...
blake b on Jun 30, 2008
Neat. If it's anything like Casino Royale, than I'll happily go see it.
Minic on Jun 30, 2008
The kind of Bond I always wanted. Four months is a lot!
Mario Tenorio on Jun 30, 2008
Looks awesome. I think the Bourne movies did the Bond franchise a big favor by increasing the competition. Casino Royale was great and I have no doubt that Marc Forster's Bond will be at least as good!
Andreas on Jun 30, 2008
Hang on, what? Hancock: first it looked terrible, then you got excited enough to wet your pants, and it sucks again? What happened, did Sony's check bounce or something?
Colin (brother of Mike) Hunt on Jun 30, 2008
NICE! As much as I didn't like to see Brosnan go, I've got to say I'm now a Craig as Bond fan.
wetworks on Jun 30, 2008
It just looks like it's trying to rip off Jason Bourne, they even got the same action director now. Get some of your own ideas, that's what i say. I'm excited, but i think that ripping of another series is just lame.
Discateia on Jun 30, 2008
Looks good, you are kidding right. New Bond, better than old Bond, you need your head examined. I don't know how young you are but you are young that much is clear. I doubt you've ever read a Bond book, at least not one written by Ian Fleming. Bond is a Cold War spy. You bring him into the modern day and change him this much and you don't have Bond you have whatever the hell this is. The first Craig movie wasn't bad but wasn't very Bond either and from the looks of that trailer this one is going in the wrong direction all well. All it reminds me of is that horrible Timothy Dalton one where Bond is on his own. These don't look awesome they look average and the same as every other so called spy movie. Back to the kids table with you.
OldSchool on Jun 30, 2008
best fuckin teaser ever. Holy shit. Hope this movie is great.
Darrin on Jun 30, 2008
i didn't know where to put this but ign reviewed the dark knight and gave it 5 out of 5. Check it out at ign.com
Darrin on Jun 30, 2008
If it's as good as Casino Royale then I'm all for it, though Brosnan is still my fav.
Cruiz Dwyer on Jun 30, 2008
Unreal. I revisited 'Casino' recently and turned the back cover over. Notice the comment by Josh Rothkopf once more: "Daniel Craig is the best Bond in the franchise's history." No doubt. The film looks amazing.
Austin Bonds on Jun 30, 2008
Daniel Craig has replaced Sean Connery as my favorite Bond, and that was after ONE movie. I agree that the line between Bourne and Bond has blurred a bit, and for that I'm actually grateful, in that we have two excellent series, each raising the bar for their respective stars, writers, directors and producers. This looks amazing, and I'll sure as heck be in the theater that weekend to support it.

i love how you bashed hancock while talking about the trailer of quantum of solace, even tho its going to clean up come 4th of july and make around 250M altogether. i dont know what the big deal is about casin royale. i mean it was a step up from pierce brosnan, but aside from the testicle torture scene, i was not totally impressed. however, after seeing this teaser, ill be there opening night. what a box office matchup!! madagascar vs. bond- i cant wait to see who comes out on top
LeeMan on Jun 30, 2008
Not really knowledgable about Fleming, but at the beginning, the bad guy is like "We have people everywhere..." Is this leading up to a S.P.E.C.T.R.E. reveal? Or did they just make up the supergroup Spectre for the Connery movies?
The Brain on Jun 30, 2008
I'm with WilliamMize, Daniel Craig's my favorite! Great trailer!! ugh- i have to wait til november!?!
cyn on Jun 30, 2008
#9: C'Mon now... ripping off another series? There would never have been a single Bourne movie (or book... maybe) without Ian Fleming's 007. While I agree that the shooting style employed, by Doug Liman and then Paul Greengrass, has influenced many recent action films; Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace are carried by the character of James Bond. Daniel Craig has shown great ability in bringing Bond to the screen. If the action style and choice of set pieces are similar to the Bourne films, that has more to do with the current style of the way big budget action films are shot these days, than outright thievery. However, if the new Bond films are not your thing, then you should be happy with the recent announcement that a fourth Bourne film is being written.

Liking the whole "Bond on the rampage" thing. It seems that Bond's gonna be learning the value of duty over and above personal quests for revenge. Looks kewl. Count me in.
Manfred Powell on Jun 30, 2008
10 Times better than casino royale!!!!
Iron Man Fan on Jun 30, 2008
Marc Forster has delivered one good film after another. They haven't all be great, but they are by no means bad films. For Hollywood, I can't think of another "young" director who is as continually versatile and reliable as Forster. And now with Bond, I am expecting nothing less than exceptional work from the man who is becoming my favorite Hollywood director.
Nico on Jun 30, 2008
Now you hate Hancock. What the hell man? Come on Billington make up you're mind you were all excited now what you hate it? Confusing, but thats you're opinion and what ever, but Solace will be amazing.
Xerxex on Jun 30, 2008
Continuity... in a modern Bond film... !? YES PLEASE.
PiratedTVPro on Jun 30, 2008
Sean Connery, best old school Bond. Craig, best new school Bond. I have enjoyed the reboot movie, I thought it was a great change up in the franchise. This movie looks very good, long wait till November though!
JLA Reject on Jun 30, 2008
Wait, so Hancock was horrible? I cannot wait for Quantum of Solace. I have seen Casino Royale at least five times, and it never gets dull. This follow-up looks like it will match or surpass it. Hell yes.
Keith on Jun 30, 2008
I have read a couple of Bond books and Craig realy fits the part. He fights, he suffers etc. All Sean Connery did was getting laid. Or so it seems. It was good as a good flashback but its not real Bond. This is as close as they have ever gotten. I just hope they do not overdo it with Craig jumping of burning planes and solving the Nuclear disaster mystery etc. Keep it real. To someone who said it was a rip off the Bourne... Bourse is a huge rip off Fleming books. Not the other way around.
Shige on Jun 30, 2008
Glad I'm not the only one confused by Alex's sudden switch on Hancock.. did you actually get to see it and that's your final verdict? But yeah, I can't wait for Quantum of Solace, this teaser was pretty spectacular.
Ivan on Jun 30, 2008
@ #10 Yeah i am young.. But that dosen't make me less of a Bond fan, I've read all of Ian Flemmings books, including the non Bond ones.. I have seen every movie, seen every episode of Jimmy Bond( the t.v. show) and yes i still think Daniel Craig is better, because he is a better actor.. His performance is more believable, than anyone elses.. The acting in the earlier movies and the show were awful.. And thats not the actors and actresses fault, acting back then was just cheesy and bad... I'm sorry that other people have different (better) taste than you, it doesn't mean they're wrong or bad...
blake b on Jun 30, 2008
looks great..................... just another Bond film I have to watch
insanartist on Jun 30, 2008
Looks great...no....AMAZING! The only thing I am wondering now if Winehouse is going to ge the song or Leona Lewis (who the producers claim it is done to b/c they want someone big on both sides of the pond). But really. WHy do you think HANCOCK is TERRIBLE all of a sudden Alex :)??? Jkjk, I saw it too. Its not that great but its DEFINITLEY not TERRIBLE. So-so is a better word.

This trailer fixed my ED problems.

The one thing about this restart to the Bond series is that for the first time in a very long time you get to see Bond as truly human. And that is what makes this new series that much more enjoyable. You can relate to him and in some ways even sympathize with what he is going through. Sure you may never be able to make love to beautiful exotic women that you have just met or even drive a Aston Martin at high speeds in the street of Paris, but seriously this is going to be a good movie.

Vesper Did not kill herself!!!!!!!
Iron Man Fan on Jun 30, 2008
Fantastic!!!! I think it will be extremely enjoyable!!! Daniel Craig is very good at playing Bond, but Sean will always be #1. There is just no way around it. Once you establish that in your mind you can sit back and just enjoy what the others are trying to live up to.
R-two D-twizzle on Jun 30, 2008
Wait, Hancock is terrible, then good then terrible? I am confused... (wait, then good again, just posted a "Must Read" story regarding how "fresh" it was and a good new idea...?)
Ummmm on Jul 1, 2008
Man Alex you need to make up your mind first you say Hancock looks terrible then you say it look good now your back to terrible, is it just because of the rotten tomatoes score? Any who im one of the few who can say that i dont really care for James Bond, but Casino Royale was really good and have been looking forward to Quantum of Solace for sometime, this teaser is totally bad ass loved the end scene.

Secret Agency out to get their renegade agent. Roof chase, motorbike chase, melee combat. The name's Bourne, James Bourne. Double O' Where's My Originality.
Cameron on Jul 1, 2008
Its nice to see the usually cool, calm, and collected Bond turn into a vengeance driven anti-hero.
David on Jul 1, 2008
BEST. TRAILER. EVER. I love the photography with Bond rising up out of the gravel. It's gonna be amazing. And I just saw HANCOCK and I quite enjoyed it. Because it was an original superhero story with its own take. I just hope they release an UNRATED VERSION on DVD because I heard they had to reshoot some action sequences to bring it down to PG-13 and from what I saw, the film would have been more powerful had it been left as an R film.
R on Jul 2, 2008
It looks very impressive and I'm delighted to see that it continues on from the last one. An enraged Bond is a delicious prospect. Just as the film would have been had it immediately followed OHMSS with Bond trying to avenge the murder of his wife Tracy. When they showed Bond at the end of Casino kneecapping that guy I thought it was almost like a sign off so show that he was a bad guy. Never did I dream that they would take the logical step of following it on. Brilliant.
Payne by name on Jul 3, 2008
Looks wicked pissah. Perhaps they're doing everything right (except for the flick's name).
Woodge on Jul 3, 2008
Looks fantastic. "Casino Royale" really revitalized the franchise, not only for audiences everywhere, but for myself as well. I'm not a die hard fan, but I've seen a good 3/4's of the Bond movies. I'd consider Casino Royale to be in the top 3 of all time. You have to expect more than pure action from movies now, and the new Bond delivers.
Will on Jul 5, 2008
Pipe down with the plagiarism talks. Withouth Ian Flemings classic 007 there wouldnt only not be a Jason Bourne, there would hardly be a SPY GENRE. I mean c'mon its just the damn trailer wait for the friggin movie to at least come out before you start bashing it.
JC915 on Jul 5, 2008
Easily the most anticipated movie of the year! The Bond franchise had lost its way with the last two or three Brosan efforts..(invisible car anyone?!). However it seems with a sharp slap round the face the producers have realised that the gritty realism of the fight sequences (shades of Bourne) and the terrific stunt work are excactly what bond fans and action junkies are expecting of a 21st century 007 movie. Daniel Craig may not be the prettiest face but he has the physical attributes and sheer coldness in his eyes that makes the audience believe he really is a highly trained assasin. This man is no Roger Moore hoping to charm his way out of trouble...with this Bond it seems if your in his way he will smash through you! Craig has made the role his own and i hope his second outing as the worlds most famous spy is every bit as good as the fantastic trailer suggests it should be!
VegasDanny on Jul 8, 2008
I agree with #9, this movie needs to get off of jason bourne's nuts, dont copy what you cant be.

waiting to see the amazing stuff in nov 7 , wishing a great success . trailer is amazing and eager to watch it too....all the best
pradeep r on Jul 23, 2008
all of u guys are a bunch of fags if u think bond is a rip off of the Bourne Movies. Bond has been around so much longer than the Bourne Trilogy and will last longer too. I would rather see Daniel Craig kickin ass than Matt. This movie is gonna be a big hit. any of u bourne lovers can go wack off to Matt.
douchebags on Aug 5, 2008
I watched the trailer a few times. I know that 007 films are notorious for having a relationship involved, but common, can someone please make a James Bond where all he does is just do his spy thing and kill people? I don't care if he meets a girl. Sex sells, but it doesn't sell to me. I don't go to a theater wondering if Bond is going to meet a girl and bang her. PLEASE JUST MAKE A FILM WHERE BOND JUST KICKS ASS, TAKES NAMES AND JUST F*CKS SOME RANDOM GIRL WITHOUT INVOLVING HER IN THE PLOT!
