Must Watch: Gavin O'Connor's Pride and Glory Trailer
by Alex Billington
August 1, 2008
Early this year, just before the collapse of New Line, we wrote about the delay of Colin Farrell and Edward Norton's cop drama Pride and Glory. Eventually New Line became part of Warner Brothers and now they're finally releasing Pride and Glory this October. Found below is the latest trailer for this film that actually looks quite good. It seems like they've decided to go head-to-head with Righteous Kill, even stealing the logo graphic at the end of the trailer (go watch this one and you'll see). Anyway, I'll give them both a chance and hope neither of them turn out that bad. Both of them feature stories about cops killing cops and both of them have two strong leads. So take a look at this trailer and let us know what you think!
Watch the trailer for Pride and Glory:
Pride and Glory is both co-written and directed by Gavin O'Connor, of 2004's Miracle as well as Tumbleweeds and Comfortably Numb. The screenplay was written by both O'Connor and Joe Carnahan, of Smokin' Aces. After shifting release dates under New Line earlier this year, Warner Brothers has decided to release Pride and Glory on October 24th this fall. See you in theaters!

It looks good ..now we know the story we must see the action 🙂 For me the last highest level acting in a movie for Collin Farrell was in The Recruit 2003 with Al Pacino ...yes these had been a lot other movies with big names but I really didn't saw him do a lot .... and for Edward Norton I think the last highest level movie he act in was The Incredible Hulk 2008 🙂 ...This guy is really kicking asses .... and he is one of the best ( last highest level acting in a movie movie = Make you remember what they did in a movie )

"for every crime there is a story" that was one awful tag Besides there are dozens of similar cop, bad cop flicks out there. Can not see why this would be so special.

NICE! First trailer was great, this one even better. Love Norton, he's the man, such an amazing actor. Hopefully this will be much better than We Own The Night, a big disappointment.

# 7 I agree with your sentiment, however what seperates good cop flicks, versus bad cop flicks(like that?) is superior acting. Ed Norton, John Voight, Colin Ferrrel= Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, Sean Penn= George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon...it's all about chemestry. You could see the chemestry in the trailer, looks good. But, I've been wrong before.

I love Ed Norton and I recently saw "In Bruges" in which Colin Farrel was amazing. Can't wait for this, then!

Yeah, Collin Ferrel is a great actor. He and Ed Norton should be great in this. I'll see it.

Aside from In Bruges, I absolutely loathe Colin Farrel, so I'll pass on this one

Re #17 - Are you kidding? Edward Norton is not underrated in Hollywood - he can open any picture and can carry his own with Hollywood's best (e.g. vs. Pitt in Fight Club, vs. DeNiro in The Score, vs. Gere in Primal Fear, etc., etc.)

Uummmm Doug, that's what LeeMan is saying. You both are saying the same thing!

Oh yeah, Dave13... Ed Norton is a great actor but, Mel Gibson is not. They both are, different, yet great.

All right trailer, gives away too much. What happened to going into movies fresh? Norton should be good, Farrel not so much. Nice to see Voigt. SHould be adeptly entertaining.
