Reminder: AMC Best Picture Showcase Next Saturday
AMC Theatres is keeping up with their tradition of running a Best Picture Showcase on Saturday before the Oscars. The showcase features all fives of the Best Picture nominees for only $30. It's not only a pretty sweet deal, but I'll be damned if it's not an awesome experience. Most people never get to see more than one of the Best Picture nominees, and it's a damn shame, because they're all usually great movies. This year is certainly no exception and if you haven't seen all of them yet, here is your chance.
The Best Picture Showcase takes place this upcoming Saturday, February 23rd. For the $30 ticket price you get a collectible pass, a free large popcorn with free refills all day, and the ability to come and go as you please (if you don't want to catch a certain flick or another). The times that each movie starts are listed:
Michael Clayton - 11:00 a.m.
There Will Be Blood - 1:20 p.m.
Atonement - 4:20 p.m.
Juno - 7:00 p.m.
No Country for Old Men - 9:00 p.m.
For more information and to buy your tickets ahead of time, head to the AMC Theatres website. Not every AMC will be running this promo, so check the listings at that page to find your nearest theater.
If it weren't for the fact that I've actually already seen all of these movies before, I would be there enjoying them with everyone else. And actually, I've seen all but Atonement and No Country for Old Men multiple times already. They all are fantastic movies and no matter what you choose, if not all of them, you'll certainly enjoy the experience. Despite not being a big fan of AMC, this is one promotion that they do right.
You can find the complete list of this year's Oscar nominations here.

I've seen them all. Why isn't Rambo among them? As for pure entertainment, Rambo shoots them all to hell.
