Samm Levine Joins Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards, Too
Who is Samm Levine? Besides playing Neal Schweiber on Judd Apatow's "Freaks and Geeks", he's been in everything from "Undeclared" to Club Dread to Sydney White. His face is very recognizable if you've seen him in anything and he's going to most likely be playing the baby-faced soldier in Tarantino's epic. In our on-going casting coverage of Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards, the guys over at Ain't It Cool News have discovered that Levine will be joining the ranks of the Nazi-killers that already include Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, and B.J. Novak. Additionally, the originally rumored David Krumholtz won't be able to join due to scheduling issues. This is shaping up to be a truly unforgettable cast, that's for sure.
As much as I wish we could just reveal the entire line-up for Inglorious Bastards, we've got to wait for them all one by one. Levine is the latest and I do believe it's another inspired choice, which is why I continue to mention how unforgettable this cast already is (and we've got so many more to go). Even Mike Myers, who I don't personally like, will probably turn out being a brilliant choice, although at this point I'm still unhappy with that announcement. Tropic Thunder is such a perfect example of a war movie that has a diverse yet perfect cast. Part of that movie was making fun of the typical fat guy and typical young kid that are usually always in war movies, and so on. But it's that kind of inspiration that makes me so much more excited to see what Tarantino is putting together with Inglorious Bastards. Thoughts?

i don't even know what to think of this casting that tarantino is making... godawful, maybe. if no major star like brad pitt enters, i really don't know wtf is going on. if tarantino manages a way to put some bruce willis or clive owen in this will be perfect, hat's it. but samm levine? freaks and geeks is cool, but has a "retarded" show. tarantino is not retarded. is a fucking genius.

That's tight, he was a beast in Freaks and Geeks, and pretty funny in Not Another Teen Movie.

Samm Levine was f'ing hilarious on "Undeclared"...I think it's awesome he's getting a high-profile role like this. I also disagree about the casting...save for Mike Meyers, I'm LOVING the crew QT's putting together. I personally don't need a "major star" like Bruce Willis to get me interested in a film - a lot of people would consider the big name in this film "Quentin Tarantino". "Pulp Fiction", "Reservoir Dogs", and "Jackie Brown" all did fine without A-listers. Whoops...

#2, what do you mean IF someone like brad pitt enters? doesn't the article say he is cast? I can't wait for this to come out. But I'm more worried about eli roth than sam levine.

i will eternally remember sam as the kid who found a garage remote control in his father's belongings and realized it wasn't theirs-then proceeded to cycle round the neighbourhood trying out the remote on every house, until a stranger's garage door finally opened.

It suxs Simon Pegg is no longer part of the film but im glad they casted Sam Levine hes the man i loved him in Freaks and Geeks looking forward to seeing him on the big screen. Im glad Tarantino isn't just casting his regulars and adding new actors to this in hope will be his best movie yet.
