Another New Trailer for Sony's The Taking of Pelham 123

Sony has debuted a second new full length trailer for the remake of The Taking of Pelham 123. We've already seen a trailer for this, but this one steps ups the action, and explains a bit more of the story, in hopes to actually sell some new audiences. My guess is that first trailer didn't go over so well, so this one is a better attempt at getting the summer audiences in theaters in June. Does it really look any good? I'm not sure, but I guess I'd say it's one of the movies I am still excited to see this summer. At least for the action and for Denzel Washington and John Travolta, who look like two great leads. Who is still planning on catching this?

The Taking of Pelham 123 is directed by Tony Scott, of numerous action classics, including Top Gun, The Last Boy Scout, Crimson Tide, Enemy of the State, Spy Game, and Deja Vu most recently. The screenplay was written by Oscar winning screenwriter Brian Helgeland, of L.A. Confidential, Conspiracy Theory, Payback, Mystic River, and Man on Fire previously. While John Godey's novel is credited as the inspiration, this is also a remake of the 1974 film of the same name that starred Walter Matthau. Sony Pictures is bringing The Taking of Pelham 123 to theaters on June 12th this summer.

I can't stand the music for this trailer. And isn't this a little too similar to the last one? If the last one didn't go over well, this isn't enough of a change...

Even though Travolta *does* look like a bad-ass in this trailer, I kind of have to chuckle when he's introduced and 99 Problems is playing in the background. Kind of looks like a desperate attempt to be hip and edgy. If I see this movie at all, it will be for Tony Scott's direction.

They gave away too much in the second trailer, especially at the end.

This looks a lot like Deja Vu in its filming style. Which is a good thing, for me at least. Although, that song in the end didn't really seem to fit the action, but still a good trailer, nonetheless.

Tony and Brian behind the helm of this film? What can be better, this film wont fail and will surely be a very good film. #12: Yea while watching the style of this trailer, it does remind me a lot of Deja Vu, but you can also see that it almost seems to be the same style of photography as previous films by Tony Scott

I dunno, I liked the original a lot, but the appeal there was it really captured "New York" in that era. I wonder if this version will do the same, or if will simply "Blockbusterize" the idea of hostages on a train. Plus Walter Matthau will be hard to replace, I mean Denzel is great but there was something about Matthau's everyman akwardness that worked well in the film. Denzel's just a little too "cool".

I have a lot of faith in Tony Scott so I'm gonna go on record and say this will be fantastic. I think showing Denzel pointing a gun at him at the end of the trailer wasn't smart though because now we know that they run into each other when he's trying to escape at the end, but does he shoot him quick enough is the question I s'pose (seeing as he's a simple civil service employee).

Not a big Travolta fan, but I'll still see this because of Denzel and Tony Scott.

Besides Travolta and Washington this film has a pretty good cast.John Turturro is pretty good and so is James Gandolfini.Even though he may not be the best actor in the world Luis Guzman is in it too,and I think he can be pretty damn funny so its a plus having him in the film to me lol.

Hmm, the first trailer was good and this one is too. I liked the story element better in the first, but the editing is slicker here, hmm. They both look like the same movie though which is a good thing, but this one emphasizes more on the action which is good for a summer release. Still feel like this would do better in September, October, or November/Thanksgiving time. Somewhat like FLIGHTPLAN or something.

liked the first liked this one one of my favorite apc songs but not sure if it completely fit the trailer it's a song that your really supposed to play loud and the fact that they didn't use the don't fret precious part or really hit the part where the beat kicks back in after the go to sleep part was kinda frustrating

Tony Scott is a motherfucking God of filmmaking. He shits all over his older brother Ridley whos has not made a great film since Gladiator. Man On Fire kicked ass and Deja Vu was really good. I cannot wait for this movie.

This trailer looks better then the first. Disappointed that they left in that spoiler at the tail end of it. (for those that didn't see the first trailer)
