Daniel Craig to Star in Jim Sheridan's Thriller Dream House

There's a reason we haven't seen or heard from the new James Bond since he starred in Quantum of Solace and then Defiance back-to-back - he's picking his next few roles wisely. However, THR reports today that it's likely Daniel Craig might end up starring in a psychological thriller called Dream House that is to be directed by Jim Sheridan (In the Name of the Father, The Boxer, In America, Get Rich or Die Tryin'). Craig would play a man who moves his family to an idyllic small town, only to find his house haunted by its former inhabitants, who were murdered there. An odd choice for Mr. Bond, but an interesting role nonetheless.
Craig has been trying to step away from the Bond-like heavy action, gun-toting characters in other new projects that aren't Bond related. Producers say they haven't reached a deal with Craig yet, but he's likely to join Dream House in the end. The screenplay was written by David Loucka of The Dream Team, Eddie, and Borderline previously. I'm hoping that this is much more of a creepy thriller like Secret Window (remember that movie?) than an horror movie (like 1408), but from the sounds if it, that's what we'll be getting anyway. I'll be very curious to see what Daniel Craig can do in a role like this. We'll keep you updated on this project.

Good move Mr. Bond. Not the best move, he should have went with a comedy or something.
