Hilarious Red Band Trailer for Judd Apatow's Funny People

Universal has finally debuted a new red band trailer for Judd Apatow's Funny People that will also be showing in front of Bruno this weekend. We haven't seen another actual trailer for this comedy since the first one debuted back in February. This is not a lot of new footage in this, which is perfectly fine, because I definitely want to see the funniest moments in theaters and don't want any of this to be ruined. I've still got that feeling that this could be one of my favorite movies this year, just because it has some great humor and some emotion that I think only someone like Judd Apatow can balance. Definitely give this trailer a shot!

When seasoned comedian George Simmons learns of his terminal health condition, his desire to form a genuine friendship causes him to take a relatively green performer under his wing as his opening act.
Funny People is both written and directed by comedy mastermind Judd Apatow, of 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up, as well as "Freaks and Geeks", previously. The story in the film is inspired by Apatow's own real life experiences. Universal will be bringing us Funny People in theaters on July 31st this summer!

this looks excellent. The belnd of Sandler, Bana, Mann, Rogen, Hill, and Schwartzman looks for lack of a better word hysterical! Maybe this will be Sandlers oscar? Lets face it he was really deserving of an oscar in Reign over Me so maybe this is his chance!

"i've been trying to build a cabinet from you guys..." Yeah, I'll see it - I didn't really like Knocked Up that much (I think Seth Rogen's angry pissed off guy was a bit strong), but I seriously enjoyed 40 Year Old Virgin, so I'll give this a go.

I'm confused, innuendo about a ball in her mouth makes it Redband? I didn't see or hear anything else that would qualify. I liked his other films and this will probably be good but these trailers just aren't working for me.

"dont put me in a corner where i have to FUCK my way out" is a reason why its redband.not the ball in a mouth. looooks good though

@9: It's "Nothingsevergonnastandinmyway (again)" from the brilliant "Summerteeth". Go buy every Wilco Album, people! I'm really looking forward to this film. Love everything about it so far.

Xerxex(#1), I must agree with you! I have been an Adam Sandler fan since way back in the Remote Control days. He did deserve to at least get the recognition of the acadamy.

I got nothing against Judd Apatow. I think he makes some pretty good movies, but ughh I wish he'd stop putting his wife and kids in his movies.

Don't see why its a red band. Wow he said sex and fuck. That's probably the reason.

In the non-redband trailer the joke with the swedish doctor is a little different. doctor says: 'i enjoy your movies, youre a funny man.' sandler replies 'i like your movies too' 'which ones' 'the ones where you try to kill bruce willis' lol 😛 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzciY15Q3BA

This actually looks quite good. I'm not a big fan of Apatow, or Sandler, so hopefully this will change my mind.

Sandler desperately needs a hit thats for sure, the guy is slowly turning into Steve Martin with slop he's put out lately.

I keep hearing so much positive hype about this movie but I can't get into it. I'm not a Rogen hater either, I like pretty much all his stuff. I just don't think it's going to be funny.
