Jessica Alba Might Be Dealing with Some Little Fockers

September 30, 2009

Jessica Alba

Recently we saw Jessica Alba in the trailer premiere for the ensemble romantic comedy Valentine's Day.  And while there's no doubt she's still got the looks and a bit of charm to keep some of us interested, the trailer confirmed that it's another in a long line of generic and dull career choices for Alba. She just might have a chance to turn that all around as Variety reports that Alba is in talks to join the third installment of the Meet the Parents films which as far as we know is still being called Little Fockers.  Perhaps she'll get the chance to show her more comedic side which unfortunately didn't ever show up in The Love Guru.

Alba's role doesn't sound all that great as "an attractive pharmaceutical rep whose looks wreak havoc on male characters in the story,” but apparently this is a key role alongside the film's stars like Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro. Paul Weitz (About a Boy, American Pie, Cirque du Freak) is directing Little Fockers since Jay Roach (director of the Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers) wasn't up for a third go-round in the director's chair.  Hell, I don't even know if I'm up for a third round of Fockers. I feel like the concept has run its course and while Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand brought some fun to Meet the Fockers, I just feel like another will be overkill. Thoughts?

yup, this will be an overkill indeed.

it has possibilities, of course, the whole cast from the first two needs to return...

The star of the third film should be the cat, Mr. Jinx. He has more talent than Jessica Alba, and he's had extensive aquatic training which is always useful.

I'm glad someone finally said it. As much as I love her and she is without a doubt one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen and is obviously intelligent. That being said I've never liked any of her choices for movie roles. Idle hands was okay.

Straight to the second one should have been. I loved Dark Angel though and that's really about it. She's great to look at though,

C'mon! Why not?, most of the cast are returning and additional one at that... It's hilarious to say the least. Mere mention of Ben's character name Gaylord Focker just gets me laugh out loud... Stiller just delivers well even without those green and slapstick toilet humor whose main audiences are the low minded baboons... nuff said!
