Kick-Ass Trailer

Those sneaky French! Last week, Lionsgate debuted the teaser trailer for Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass. Because of an accidental early leak, that teaser kind of got lost in the mix with the Clash of the Titans trailer (which was also released the same day). So, in an effort to give this great trailer some time in the spotlight on its own, and also because it's pretty cool to see with commentary, I'm featuring this new version of the same teaser that now includes a bit of commentary from Matthew Vaughn. Premiere in France called up Vaughn and got him to talk about the movie and included it over the top of this trailer. So check it out.

Watch the teaser trailer for Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass with commentary:

Kick-Ass is both written and directed by British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, of Layer Cake and Stardust previously. The screenplay was co-written by Vaughn and his writing partner Jane Goldman, of Stardust as well. The story is an adaptation of Mark Millar's comic of the same name that is currently in the middle of its first series. Kick-Ass was funded entirely by Matthew Vaughn and his own private investors and sold once finished to Lionsgate earlier this year. They've currently set an April 16th, 2010 release date for the film, although I hope they change that, because that's a terrible opening day. How does that look? Badass?

Vaughn is a rockstar... this movie will most certainly kick some ass, and he's totally right about what this movie truely stands for - that its a one up to its own nature. Comic book geeks can understand that. Now. Please release a red band trailer so we can see hit girl in all her glory.

Love the Matthew Vaughn Commentry it hads to the picture giving it some reality of what he said like with the lead pipe, when he its someone over the head with pipe he want to give the feeling the person been it over the head is fucked up, but its a fun film. cannot wait for this film it will be one to look out for in 2010.
