More Iron Man 2 First Look Photos: Rhodey, Hammer, Potts

Entertainment Weekly definitely got the big scoop on Iron Man 2 this week! Not only did they debut that badass cover shot and our first look at Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, but hidden deep inside the mag are a few more shots from the movie, including our first official look at Don Cheadle as the new Rhodey, Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer (at least in the background), and Gwyneth Paltrow back again as the lovely Miss Pepper Potts. Unfortunately the photos weren't released online, so we have to turn to our friends over at SlashFilm for the scans. They're not the best photos (they're a bit small and cramped), but they are new!
Before you ask any questions, that photo to the right shows Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. watching playback from a boxing ring. Apparently Happy Hogan spars with Tony Stark? There also seems to be a very interesting court room battle going on - as the photos with Rhodey and Potts both seem to be set in the same courtroom. And then there's Justin Hammer who is mysteriously sitting in the background. What the heck is going on here? We previously saw paparazzi photos of Cheadle as Rhodey earlier this year, but those weren't official shots like this one is. You can expect some huge buzz for Iron Man 2 at Comic-Con next weekend.

Funny how people are not sold just because they dont wanna change it up. This is the same thing people said about Heath being the Joker before shooting and the guy won ALL the supporting awards last year lol.. Give the guy a chance, he is one of the best actors out there and I know he will pull it off.

i like iron man 2 because i will see robert downey jr. and don cheadle suit up on this movie don cheadle's war machine suit is black and sliver my favorite iron man 2 character is iron man and war machine they are cool i like robert downey jr. and don cheadle so i will see iron man 2 in theatres may 7th 2010 see ya.

Terence Howard was fine in Iron Man 1. A military officer with smooth voice, that was something fresh.

Howard is barely watchable. Too metro. Cheadle is one of if not the finest actor today. He will nail this role like he does all, the man is simply amazing. Maybe Favreau can do some Lucas CGI and super-CG-impose Cheadle over Howard in the Iron Man re-release? Just a though 🙂
