Brooklyn's Finest Trailer

Overture Films has debuted a trailer for Antoine Fuqua's Brooklyn's Finest starring Richard Gere, Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke, Wesley Snipes, Lili Taylor, Ellen Barkin, Will Patton, and Vincent D'Onofrio. This first premiered at Sundance earlier this year to some mediocre reviews, which is why its taken so long to hit theaters. I never saw it there and this is my first look at any footage from the film and I've got to say I'm actually impressed. It looks intense as hell and packed with lots of action, despite being an indie flick. Even if you know nothing about this, I highly suggest watching the trailer, you might find yourself hooked as well.

When the NYPD targets the notoriously drug-ridden BK housing project, three unconnected Brooklyn cops find themselves swept away by the violence and corruption of Brooklyn's 65th Precinct and its criminals.

Brooklyn's Finest is directed by American filmmaker Antoine Fuqua, of Training Day, Tears of the Sun, King Arthur, and Shooter previously. The screenplay was written by first-time feature screenwriter Michael C. Martin. This first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and was eventually picked up by Overture Films. Brooklyn's Finest will hit limited theaters starting on March 5th, 2010. Look good?

Sorry dan the

xerxex on Dec 3, 2009

@ xerxex That's no problem, when it comes to a regular such as yourself!! Alex, shouldn't be speaking about (gulp!) to^^ents here...however, unbelievably, a leaked copy is around!

Dan The Man on Dec 3, 2009

"It looks intense as hell and packed with lots of action, despite being an indie flick." Overture Films also released Righteous Kill. It also had a good trailer and we all know how that one turned out.

Travis on Dec 3, 2009

Well I enjoyed all of Fuquas flicks except shooter so Ill give it a shot.

Cody on Dec 3, 2009

looks to be another gritty crime flick.......nothing new here but the cast is good. definitely worth a rent.

beavis on Dec 3, 2009

I'm sold! Thats how you make a trailer! What with all the frikkin pop up ads! Is it time to find another movie news source - those popups are really annoying!

dom on Dec 3, 2009

@9 they are what pay the bills, I am sure you don't send a cheque to these guys why bitch?..

Ben on Dec 3, 2009

looks great. why only limited?

ron on Dec 3, 2009

Antoine Fuqua is a great director, cant wait for this one.

tankmaster on Dec 3, 2009

doesn't look "packed with lots of action" to me. just a bunch of people waving around guns and yelling really loud....But I honestly think it looks great. Antoine Fugua is almost always a sure win. and that cast is really amazing.

PJ on Dec 3, 2009

Looks pretty good trailer-wise. I did enjoy Training Day. But who knows. I won't jump out to grab a look at this anytime soon.

Bauzer on Dec 3, 2009

That was thoroughly bad ass!

Richard on Dec 3, 2009

Good to see Wesley Snipes do a movie that's not going straight to video this decade. He has been forgotten as a good actor. After Blade 3 I gave up! This looks like a mixture of Sugar Hill, New Jack City, Training Day, and King of New York.

JussHaten on Dec 3, 2009

Finally, a movie where I don't have to sadly shake my head at Gere and think, " WTF? Your'e better than this crap". Hawke, not a big fan, but it looks like he may prove me wrong in this. Glad to see Snipes back. Having Cheadle involved snares it for me. Although I must say, if I were him I wouldn't consider Hotel For Dogs an accomplishment.

arjones on Dec 3, 2009

@20 : Ya I hadn't realized it til you just said something, but I've missed Wesley Snipes. One of my favorite actors back in the day and he hasn't done anything for theaters. Trailer looks good, nicely put together. It got me pumped up for 2min. Don Cheadle is the only one I don't enjoy as an actor, hope he doesn't screw up his part as Rhodey in Iron Man 2.

Hedgehog on Dec 3, 2009

Ethan Hawke looks the same way as he did in Training Day... same stupid look and everything... saving the goddamn world.

Frame on Dec 3, 2009

Training Day + Internal Affairs + Traitor = Brooklyn's Finest. Good to see Snipes back on the big screen.

Im there

OCP on Dec 3, 2009

Could be good. The last half of the trailer kind of seemed cliche. I'm confused as to that tattoo on Richard Gere's neck or whatever that is

Dan W on Dec 3, 2009

Dan W I believe that is blood on Gere's neck, no tattoo.

birddog on Dec 3, 2009

this looks A M A Z I N G can't wait to see all the characters unfold.

Matthew Hansen on Dec 3, 2009

thats blood on his neck. didn't think i'd be saying gere actually looks pretty badass there

lego on Dec 3, 2009

Well well. This certainly looks worthy or some trips to the theater. Can't wait.

Angry Chief on Dec 3, 2009

i love movie like this and wow.... Richard Gere,Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke, Wesley Snipes,... just can't wait to see this movie

wowguide on Dec 4, 2009

Looks very good, great cast!

David Banner on Dec 4, 2009

Hm, feels like New Jack City II.

badeboom on Dec 4, 2009

This looks a first class movie Don Cheadle, Richard Gere, Heathan Hawkes, this film is worth abetter release than just IFC centres, shall be watching for this. 🙂

Cineprog on Dec 4, 2009

I didn't read the description of the movie before watching this trailer & the first thing I thought was that it looked like an unofficial sequel to Training Day. I was doubtful with one of the focuses being on Gere (really? They couldn't find anyone better?), but this looks pretty good.

dELVIS on Dec 4, 2009

OMAR!!!! I SAW OMAR!!!!!

Voice of Reason on Dec 4, 2009

#36 Glad I'm not the only one. I thought my eyes were decieving me for a second.

SkaOreo on Dec 4, 2009

All I can say is this could be gold, for everyone involved. P.s. Were those tattoos on Hawke real?

Johnny Neat on Dec 4, 2009

Looks awesome! Great Cast!

Nick Sears on Dec 4, 2009

Looks pretty intense. Cheadle and Snipes look cool too.

Robbie on Dec 4, 2009

wow looks amazing

DJ Sil3nt on Dec 4, 2009

looks like a good time... but I am also with Travis #6.. I am concerned with it being another Overture film and with Fuqua, who has been hit or miss, that we could be in for another 'great action, hideous dialogue cop drama'

Dusty on Dec 4, 2009

from the director of training day? DUH! looks like a sequel as #35 so aptly put it. Ethan Hawke is back as a NY cop and the NYPD is bad, or corrupt, as ever! get excited folks! antoine fuque should have got denzel to come back as well just to keep it all in the family. nevertheless ill redbox it just for the excessive violence and sex and bad language because thats why i watch these movies.

d on Dec 4, 2009

Cant wait!!!

Trey m on Dec 4, 2009

When Don Cheadle bumped into Wesley Snipes and then I saw Omar (Michael K. Williams) I was sold.

nothing really new about the story but DAMN it looks very well done and worth the price of gets my vote...

moldybread on Dec 4, 2009

I didn't even recognize Wesley Snipes for most of the trailer.

Lar on Dec 4, 2009

This looks FANTASTIC, can't wait.

Mike on Dec 5, 2009

i like the chem between Snipes and Cheadle

Conrad on Dec 6, 2009

Wesley Snipes looks different in the movie. I will give it a go looks promising.

Fisherr on Dec 7, 2009

#6 - Righteous Kill did not have a good trailer. This looks amazing compared to RK, I hope it's not a big stinker. Big ups to BK!

Fatal Error on Dec 8, 2009

Glad to see the Snipes back in the grind! Always loved his acting... Great Cast, Great Story... Should be a Great Movie! On my must see list for sure...(I think they should have thrown Denzel in there somewhere, looks like his kind of party)

JCal on Dec 10, 2009

looks so so could go either way but im hoping its good

neonblue120 on Dec 10, 2009

kenji on Dec 14, 2009

Looks really good but 3 things i would love to know is 1. Is it coming straight to dvd 2. Why is Richard Gere in this 3. Is Snipes not ment to be in jail??? ( Even tho im really glad he's not )
