Must Watch: Full Theatrical Trailer for Pixar's Toy Story 3!

Disney has finally debuted the full-length theatrical trailer for Toy Story 3 this morning on Yahoo. The first short teaser arrived back in May and Pixar fans (myself included) have been waiting patiently since then for a real glimpse at what we'll be seeing next summer. This trailer finally shows us what the story will be about in Toy Story 3 and it definitely looks as fun as the past two. I love the way this trailer plays, with the home video footage and nostalgic first half leading right into the exciting second half. Plus, a Spanish Buzz Lightyear? Brilliant! Those Pixar guys are as great at cutting a trailer as they are at making movies.

Tom Hanks returns to voice Woody, Tim Allen returns as Buzz, and Joan Cusack is back again as Jessie.
Toy Story 3 is being directed by Lee Unkrich, another one of Pixar's creative masterminds who previously co-directed Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., and Finding Nemo. The screenplay was written by Michael Arndt, the Oscar winning screenwriter of Little Miss Sunshine who is a newcomer to the Pixar family. Disney is bringing Pixar's Toy Story 3 to theaters everywhere in digital 3D starting on June 18th, 2010 next year.

#12 can either be A) Complaining about the movie all together... or B) Complaining about the fact that Bullseye was being kick around in the trailer... Either way, he is complaining.

@ #13 Either way, I'm right: Toy Story came out when I was in 2nd grade. I just graduated college. The story-telling well has run dry.

Schmaltz. What happens when they get to Andy's college and he's shotgunning beers on springbreak with his bro's? This didn't really need to get made, maybe the toy sales were slumping.

Lol to 22. So impressed with the technical improvements since Toy Story 2 - This one looks amazing and a good story to match! What a great idea - reset - foreign language. haha, not sure why he'd be dancing though given he's a space ranger?

Would love to see a technical comparison between the three films. DOes it really look that much better than the first one?

Technical Comparison? Who Cares? It looks like a great story and I cannot wait to go and see it with my kids. I think Pixar has done it again. My 4 year old son has a Buzz Lightyear doll, Woody and Jessie. These are loved characters and a part of his childhood. Childhood ends too quickly. It should be revisited often in that non critical spirit that typifies being a child. Go, enjoy, say WOW!

I'm guessing by the end of this one, we're going to see Andy handing the toys down to the next generation, probably in an epilogue-like sequence.

I was five years old when the first one came out in 1995 so i'll always have a soft spot for Toy Story but this time i think they've gone too far......that being said i'll still pay 10 buck to go see it just because its Toy Story lol

The opening sequence was great, however I think there was a little to many cheap laughs in the second half, and the editing a little to breakneck. Spanish buzz is not a creative joke, it's something dreamworks would do.
shadow on Oct 13, 2009

Isn't resetting buzz kind of a rehash? Seems like an episode idea for a Toy Story tv show.

fuck man just leave toy story alone.. it was good but it blew over.. old characters and were all tired of them. Why not do something original like you always do pixar? and for gods sake, why make CARS 2?? WHO THE FUCK IS WAITING FOR THAT???!!!

Although I'm a fan, this is an obvious business decision in Disney's part. I know this for a fact noticed the Disney stores in the mall if they do not extend the life of their highest selling products then it will be pointless to have stores with outdated toys. SOo they recycle concepts and rehash scenarios in the end soccer moms with brats will end up making this sad recycled set of characters into a successful film and product for Disney. GOTTA LOVE THEIR GENIUS..............

I'm making a prediction; that Toy Story 3 will overtake Shrek 2 as the highest grossing animated movie ever made. I'm also predicting that Toy Story 3 will break Shrek the Third's record for the biggest open weekend for an animated movie. Hell what this movie overtook The Dark Knight's open weekend?

This is absolutely incredible. Been waiting forever for another Toy Story to come out. I never would have expected Buzz to speak Spanish - brilliantly hilarious! 🙂

The Movie looks great, and i can't wait to see it... yet i'm left wondering why andy is said to be going to college, yet has a toy chest with a bunch of toys in his room.... and his room decor hasn't changed from the least (outside of a few trophies) since the original movie, where he was a small child... I mean he's going to college, he must be atleast 17-18 or so.... i dont know, it just kinda catches me funny for some reason... you wouldn't think someone of that age would be playing around with piggie banks, slinkie dogs, or a big green T-rex, or for that matter have them within near reach to him at all times.... anyone else catch that?
