Alice in Wonderland Trailer

This new trailer for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, presented by SpikeTV, doesn't deserve as much hype as it's getting because it's basically a remix or rehash of the original teaser trailer first put out in July. That said, since it technically is a brand new trailer, I'm featuring it anyway, especially because the hype for this movie is (or rather was in July) through the roof. I'll be much more excited once we get to see an actual full-length trailer with finished visual effects and a shot of Alan Rickman as the Caterpiller - that is what I need to make me go crazy with excitement for this new Alice in Wonderland. So anyway, give this a shot.

Watch the alternate teaser trailer for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland:

Alice in Wonderland is directed by visionary director Tim Burton, of everything from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure to Beetlejuice to Batman to Edward Scissorhands to Mars Attacks to Sleepy Hollow to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Sweeney Todd most recently. The screenplay was written by Disney's own Linda Woolverton, of Beauty and the Beast, Homeward Bound, and The Lion King previously. This is based on Lewis Carroll's beloved series of books that were first published in 1865. Disney is bringing Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland to both digital 3D and 2D theaters everywhere on March 5th, 2010 early next year.

This movie is looking like it going to be amazing, and visually stunning!, and with cool story line too!. I can't wait to see it!, johny depp is one the best actors ever!.

It seems to kiddy, I was at least hoping for a dark fantasy for adults like Pan's Labyrinth, but oh well I'm still game.

I know Mia Wasikowska isn't a well-known actress, I know Tim Burton loves Johnny Depp and I know Johnny Depp is hugely famous, but Tim Burton, come on! This is "Alice" In Wonderland, not Mad Hatter and Friend. I think the movie and its media coverage/publicity should be based on Alice and not the Mad Hatter. The Hatter is actually a rather secondary character in the books. I hope if a new original trailer comes out, I hope it'll be based on "Alice" and not the Hatter. But all in all, I cannot wait for this!!!

wow this looks good. and johnny depps character looks amazing

Yeah, I've read the books and the Mad Hatter isn't very important. That being said, the Mad Hatter was always my favorite growing up so I'm EXCITED!

Can't waaait : D

I am exceedingly underwhelmed for this movie. It's like Burton is jerking it onto a picture of himself while Depp looks on in approval. Burton, since marrying Ms. Carter, had gotten more colorful and bouncy, but this is NOT a good thing. I don't know. I feel betrayed by TIm Burton, and I guess I am just sad.

has, not had. Sorry for the typo.

I have always hate Alice in Wonderland, the way it looks and stuff! since i was a child, there has been a deep unexplainable how republicans hate obama, they just cant get over it.

I was so upset by this. They put the end of the trailer at the beginning and added the "This is impossible! Only if you believe it is." That's it. This is not an extended trailer, Spike fucked us big time.

I'm hoping Disney will attach a longer, 3D AIW trailer to the front of Christmas Carol. #10 - Tim Burton and HBC are not married.

EJP on Oct 28, 2009

I like Mad Hatter and all, but I hope he's not the whole story like the trailers suggest to me. : Otherwise it looks good.

if you ask me, tim burton is overrated to hell. hes not even that creative. zzzzz

this movie blows too much johny dep 🙁

Johnny Depp is the best character actor of my generation and for that alone I'd watch it. Edward scissorhands, what's eating gilbert grape?, ed wood (favorite), finding neverland, Blow(favorite). He even did fuckin' Spongebob! He should get a lifetime acheivement award now for what for what he's already done. I've seen his career blossom from 21 jump street when i was a teenager to what it is now and he is the epitome of what acting is about. Do i like alice in wonderland? Not so much. I never really have, but i will just to see his performance.

@18 - I think you are as mad as a hatter. 😛 Terrible trailer imo - (and horrible media player - yeesh). I think the movie will be great - but would bet money I could have spliced together a better trailer.

There are two new shots in this trailer. Both of Johnny Depp. First at -29 seconds and the second at -02

Rod Tidwell on Oct 29, 2009

Why a new Alice? Renovation and with new technology what happen in the book can be seen on the screen. Always necessary in classic's!!

It's weird that even the captains of the movie industry, the guys who changed the game and are considered geniuses of their craft, are making the same mistakes every other talentless novice is making- namely painting their movies on a computer instead of just shooting them. I watch this trailer and I just think holy shit, how do you screw up Alice in Wonderland? Is it even possible? TO ALL FUTURE AND CURRENT DIRECTORS OUT THERE: PICK UP A CAMERA AND FUCKING SHOOT A MOVIE! BUILD CREATURES FROM STRING AND FABRIC. NEED A MOUNTAIN AND SUNSET? GO TO MONTANA- THEY HAVE THAT SHIT THERE. AND FOR CHRIST SAKE STOP WITH THE INCREDIBLY LARGE SCREAMING ANIMALS THAT LOOK LIKE SHIT. Okay? It's very easy. Just stop it. You know you hate it just as much as your audience does. And you're ashamed. As you should be.

i really want to see this movie now, Tim Burton owns as usual with a great touch of Johny Depp.

Fisherr on Oct 29, 2009

what he said... does disney really need him in EVERY one of their films? and does he need to play the same character in each film? Its like "Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in:"

Rachel Replicant on Oct 29, 2009

It's just a selling point! Johnny Depp has pull. Imagine if Eddie Murphy was the hatter instead? Would the same number of people want to see this movie if Eddie Murphy was in it?
