One final trailer for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes has hit the web this morning, courtesy of our friends at MTV. If you've seen the first trailer and the second TV trailer, you've pretty much seen everything already. There is some new footage, lots of it, in this trailer, and it looks great, but after watching it I felt like I was about to cross that line of having seen too much footage. There's a bit more to the story in this, the effects look much more finished, and overall it looks much more polished. I'm very excited to see Sherlock Holmes, it will probably be the highlight of the holiday season (along with Avatar), but now we've just got to wait.
Watch the final trailer for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes:
Detective Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and his stalwart partner Dr. Watson (Jude Law) engage in a battle of wits and brawn with a mystical occult evil nemesis whose plot is a threat to all of England.
Sherlock Holmes is directed by British auteur Guy Ritchie, of Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Revolver, and RocknRolla previously. The screenplay was co-written by Guy Ritchie, Michael Johnson, Anthony Peckham, and Simon Kinberg, and is based on Arthur Conan Doyle's characters first introduced in 1887. Warner Bros is bringing Sherlock Holmes to theaters starting on Christmas Day, December 25th.

looks awesome but no way this will be anywhere as good as Avatar not in a million years, Avatar will be the best film of the past decade with the execption of some Pixar films and little film about a masked crusader in Gotham City

No one said anything about Avatar nor Dark Knight... try to focus on the topic Sully. With the exception of the film Ritchie made with Madonna, all his movies have been consistently good. This looks like a lot of fun.

I like the first trailer better. But this one does feel more epic and gives out more of the storyline. #4: Please just be quiet, no one cares.

Rachel McAdams kind of sucks, the brilliant Holmes would never accept her.

I like the trailers so far, VERY much. I'm a little bit worried though: besides "Lock, stock...", the rest of the Guy Ritchie body of work isn't THAT consistent. Snatch is just as good as a copy of the aforementioned film (elegant expression, haha!) The one with Madonna, well, I didn't even bother. Rockanrolla... is just soooo bad! Revolver... mmm... Let's see if this serves as a redemption for him!!

People are funny. Some want movies to be what they think they should be. Movies are made to make money and entertain. In that order. Titles are used to link characters to some other works to draw a crowd. The ones that want movies to strictly adhere to something they read or saw-------are never going to be happy with what a movie does. This looks entertaining and that is what it will be. RDJ is on a roll--------his career has skyrocketed in the past 2 years-------and should be. He is doing a good job of mixing humor and action and that should make most movie goes happy. Jude Law is a very good actor. Nice to see them paired in this one. Some compaints about the female lead-----------forget it. She is nice looking and adds that little female touch to the movie. This movie is about RDJ and a character vagely resembling Mr Homes in some respects. Buy popcorn and enjoy. rhm
