Rob Marshall's Musical Nine Gets One Final Theatrical Trailer

The Weinstein Company has released another trailer for Rob Marshall's musical Nine, which was derived from an Italian play by Mario Fratti which was inspired by Federico Fellini's autobiographical film 8½. This new trailer is a bit more conventional than the previous two in that it finally gives us a bit of insight into the plot of the film as well as a variety of songs showcasing the talents of Fergie, Penelope Cruz, and more. But still no display of Daniel Day-Lewis' musical chops. Oscar bait or not, a musical based on Federico Fellini's 8½ is something that I can't stop looking forward to when it's released this Christmas. Fire this trailer up!

Famous Italian director Guido Contini struggles to find harmony in his professional and personal lives, as he engages in dramatic relationships with his wife, his mistress, his muse, his agent, and even his mother.
Nine is directed by Rob Marshall, of the Oscar winning musical Chicago previously as well as Memoirs of a Geisha most recently. The screenplay was adapted by the late great Anthony Minghella and Michael Tolkin, of The Rapture, Deep Impact, and Changing Lanes. The film is based on Federico Fellini's masterpiece 8½. The Weinstein Company will debut Nine in theaters everywhere on Christmas Day, December 25th.

Complete cock tease. None of these women are going to get naked in the movie. It's completely sad that anyone would PAY money to see hot chicks with their clothes ON. Also, this movie is now officially deep throating the Academy.

Slashbeast, really? We can watch porn if we want to have naked ladies, its as easy as 1,2,3. Step one internet, step 2 google porn, step three...well I think you get the point.

For some reason, I keep forgetting that Nicole Kidman is in this movie... Marion Cotillard looks amazing, as always. I'm surprisingly excited for Fergie' scenes, from what this trailer's shown.

I may actually see this, and trust me, I don't do musicals. (Moulin Rouge, Chicago, Mama Mia etc are all movies that I will happily go to my grave having never touched my eyeballs)

Too bad Nicole Kidman's character looks nothing like Anita Eckberg. She could use some hips and ass. Women had curves back then...

I actually think this looks pretty good - it's the first trailer that's sold it too me... But DDL is not the best actor alive by a long way. He's too intense for this and he's going to get blown away by the sheer volume of talented actresses...

Srsly. What is it about DDL? He's really not that great.

I am SO excited that mainstream audiences will finally see/hear the genius known as NINE. I saw this on Broadway. I have the CD and have listened to it hundreds of times over the years. It is one of the best written musicals ever! This might have to go into my DVD collection! YAY!
