The Film Feed

Today we're launching our new official podcast, The Film Feed, hosted by Will Schiffelbein (right), Clark Lamson (left), and Sean Hunter (middle), as seen in the photo above. Our last official podcast, called the HypeCast, broadcast its very final episode back in July of 2007. I've been searching for the last year and a half for a suitable replacement and have finally found one. The Film Feed is the perfect podcast for FS.net, covering all the latest movie news, hype, and more every single week. Will, Clark, and Sean have the enthusiasm and passion that I have searched so hard to find and I'm very excited to launch this today.

In the very first episode of The Film Feed, hosts Will, Clark, and Sean introduce themselves to anyone listening. They also delve into a dissection of this week's movie news, specifically the Watchmen viral marketing updates and new photos from Harry Brown and Public Enemies. The guys also discuss the latest trailers to debut, covering the merits of Will Ferrel in Land of the Lost, Will's seething hatred of anything anime related when covering the latest Dragonball trailer, and the raunchy yet satisfying trailer for Observe and Report. The show wraps it up with a review Henry Selick's new film - Coraline.

Tune in next week for a review of Friday the 13th and a slew of discussion on the week's movie news.

Congrat's on the NEW Podcast, Firstshowing. I truly do miss the HypeCast as I'd listened to every Episode before it's untimely death, since then the void has been filled with other podcasts around the web such as the /Filmcast - MovieClubPodcast - Fatguy's at-the-Movies, Filmspotting and the Film Junk Podcast. But I hope this will become a weekly must-listen for my film fix.

Overall, a pretty enjoyable podcast. Listened to all 45 minutes while at work and it makes the time go by very quickly. The voices are different enough that you can tell each person apart and their opinions on movies are all different as well. Nice find Alex, keep up the excellent work with the site.

It's good... glad to see FirstShowing is back in the podcasting world. I was sad when Hypecast ended so abruptly. Can't wait for more episodes...

I liked coarline a lot I think it may already be one of the best movies of the year and I think it is even better seeing it in the new digital 3D. I like V for vendetta alot to. I think it is the best comic book adaptation so far since it is an adult story and movie which is more about politics, rights, media and more than action. The action scenes it does have are decent. Watchmen could be better.

I have to say, I am impressed that they are not fluffing it off. The fact that the three have very different opinions makes the show better. I hope you all do not mind, I put your link o my website. You are very talented and articulate movie viewers. Keep the shows coming.

This is absolutely excellent. I've never been to this site, but plan on coming back every Tuesday to get the new Film Feed. Having everything that's been discussed linked on this site is a great feature too, so you can read more into everything or see what the guys are talking about. A blast to listen to, keep it up guys!
