Very First TV Spot for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Even though we've seen an excessive number of trailers, including an awesome final theatrical trailer, for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, it's still exciting to see this first TV spot. Not only does it mean that it's finally coming soon, but it also just looks great, and it's one of the movies I'm most excited to see this summer. Though I'm curious, is anyone worried about the comedy in this? Obviously that kind of comedy is a part of the Harry Potter series, but I'm worried that there'll be too much of that and not enough of the dark story and wizard action. We'll find out soon enough. But for now, I'm still incredibly excited.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is again directed by British filmmaker David Yates, of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix previously, and is written by Steve Kloves, who also wrote the adaptations of Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire, but did not write Order of the Phoenix. This is the sixth book in J.K. Rowling's immensely popular series. Warner Brothers will debut Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in theaters worldwide on July 15th this summer. We'll be there!

well, dont be too worried....... there will be darkness in it, but every movie needs comedy and harry potter had a lot of it but also a lot of darkness, exp towards the middle and end parts....

there is a lot of funny stuff in the book it would be a shame if they cut it all out.

I read two very early reviews on aintitcool about the same time that WB announced they would be pushing back the 6th Harry Potter entry to July. The reviews I read made the movie sound terrible, and these reviews sounded like they came from true Harry Potter fans. I think everyone needs to seriously lower their expectations for this movie cuz to me it doesn't look all that great, anyone else agree? Unless the movie has been significantly altered since those reviews came out, I think we're all in for a major disappointment this July. If anyone is interested in reading these reviews, then follow this link: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/38251

It appears that die hard fans will be disappointed and general movie fans will think the movie is o.k. IT will still make over 300 million regardless. The shame is that the diehard fans will be shaking their heads saying what the hell happened!!??

@ #7 ...but the movie was ready to be released in November, so how much of the movie do you think they really changed...

I think you all need to wait until the actual movie comes out. I've read reports about the test screening that said it was excellent. To each his own.

I'm a pretty big fan of the book and everything I've seen so far has looked pretty good. Pretty faithful, too. That type of humor is so common in the books I would be disappointed if the movie went without it.

i am a major potter-maniac... and i for one have loved the past interpretations of the movies... you cannot possibly cram a 600 page tome into a 2 hour movie... they try to bring the essence of the books into the movie... there have to be alterations and re-imagining of the things from the book.... i for one cannot wait any longer... this movie is going to be super-grown up and super fun. i hope they remain faithful to the book and end the movie on a GRIM note and not a happy happy note... the book ends with a very depressing note...
