Prince of Persia Movie

Disney has debuted a new behind-the-scenes featurette on Yahoo for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time that focuses on Dastan played by Jake Gyllenhaal. We've already seen the first trailer, so everyone should know what to expect, but there is some new footage in here that's worth checking out. I don't know why everyone is so negative about this movie, I still think it looks awesome. Sure, Jake doesn't exactly look that Persian, but who cares? I'd rather have a good actor than anyone else. And so far it looks like he's going to kick some ass. I like the dagger effects and I think Alfred Molina looks great, too. Anyway, check it out.

Watch the latest behind-the-scenes featurette for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time from YouTube:

Follows a prince who must stop an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy the world.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is directed by English director Mike Newell, of Donnie Brasco, Pushing Tin, Mona Lisa Smile, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire previously. The screenplay was co-written by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard (The Uninvited, The Sorcerer's Apprentice) and the story was developed by Jordan Mechner, one of the original creators of the video game. Disney will be bringing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time to theaters everywhere starting on May 28th, 2010 next summer. Will you be seeing it?

I keep thinking it's Jared Leto, not Jake Gyllenhaal. But this movie looks like it could be fun.

I was okay with the movie...but then Ubisoft decides to make a Game to tie in with the Movie...instead of going with a true Sequel to the PS3 and 360 Prince of Persia...(correct me if I'm wrong...) This Movie has delayed a true Sequel... Oh Well, no sense in blaming it...looks OK...

zeldaprimed, you do know that the new game is no way related to the movie and is set in after the Sand of Time and before The Warrior Within.

This makes me more excited than the first trailer.

The set designs look beautiful. Jake looks in great shape. Jake's character should have a persian accent. Don't understand why he has an English accent.

GEMMA ARTESON DIES, COMES BACK AT THE END THROUGH THE DAGGER. JAKE DIES, HAS HIS BROTHER KILL HIM TO SHOW HE DIDN'T REALLY KILL THE 'PRINCE' BEN KINGLSEY DIES, JAKE'S BROTHER KILLS HIM AT THE END OF THE MOVIE. HE SCREAMS WHEN HE STABS HIM. alfred molina is awful in the movie. totally trying to be jack sparrow. stop getting excited, the movie is god awful. 45-60% on RT when it comes out, watch.

This Featurette for Prince of persa the sands of time to me is better than the trailer it gives you a insight in to the charictor, plus more detail of the story. the story gives me the mummy vibe. looks good though good popcorn flick. 😀

Am I the only one who thinks this looks like garbage? And Jake Gyllenhaal is god awful.

I think everyone is way too critical! If you are a true POP fan you should no doubt be excited for this, if not love it. Go back and play the first POP Sand of time for xbox. The Prince looks like a Backstreet boy!! I'm excited to see this, especially seeing as how the original creator wrote it and was hands in it most of the project.

The special effects, costumes and the setting are awesome! I hope that the story is as good.
