Worth Watching - Jan 9: Noah Buschel's The Missing Person Trailer

We haven't had a new "worth watching" trailer for quite a while and that's because there hasn't been that much worth watching. Today I finally have something worth pointing out, and it's a trailer for an upcoming Sundance movie called The Missing Person. If you love mysteries, or film noir, or movies about private investigators, stop what you're doing and watch this now. Michael Shannon stars as private investigator John Rosow who is hired to tail a man on a train from Chicago to Los Angeles. This looks pretty spectacular, like one of those indie gems that won't go far but will nestle its way into the hearts of critics everywhere.
Watch the trailer for Noah Buschel's The Missing Person:
Fore more info on the film, head to the official website: missingpersonmovie.com
The Missing Person is both written and directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Noah Buschel, of indie flicks Bringing Rain and Neal Cassady previously. The film will be premiering at the Sundance Film Festival in just a few weeks. It already has an indie distributor by the title of Visit Films so it won't be searching for one at the festival. The Missing Person will be hitting your local art house theater sometime in late 2009.

Interesting premise. Was that Goldblum's wife from Independence Day as a prostitute? Looks like one fine freshman outing, I'm always a supporter of new directors. This dude does look like he's one wastoid gumshoe. Maybe they should just call it that: "Wastoid Gumshoe". Fuck it. I'm copyrighting that this instant!

Ooo, it's Holly from The Office! Trailer hasn't convinced me yet that it's worth seeing...

I actually think it looks good. Maybe I'm just in the mood for noir, or something.

It doesn't have gun fights and car chases in the trailer = "boring".

Something about Michael Shannon makes me think that he'd be the perfect replacement for the Joker if they ever move forward with that story line. I know no one can ever match Heath's performance, but after seeing Michael in Revolutionary Road, I think he fits the bill.

None of the trailers posted in the new flash base is working. Alex whoever you paid to make that flash widget should be fired or sued.
