Alice Eve Officially Cast as Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class

No more speculation here. Heat Vision and Deadline report that Alice Eve, last seen as the hottie in She's Out of My League, has joined the cast of 20th Century Fox's X-Men: First Class, which is being directed by Matthew Vaughn. Eve will play Emma Frost, the "White Queen" who eventually became a member of the X-Men and was seen briefly in some of the earlier X-Men movies (in Wolverine as played by Tahyna Tozzi). Marvel has also confirmed that Michael Fassbender will play Magneto in X-Men: First Class and also that Tommy Lee Jones will play Colonel Phillips in Captain America: The First Avenger, as previously reported
So far we know that the former Bryan Singer "relaunch" of the X-Men franchise includes James McAvoy as Professor X and Michael Fassbender as Magneto as well as Eve as Emma Frost. There have been rumors that Aaron Johnson or another young actor might play Cyclops, but officially Marvel/Fox haven't announced any other cast members/characters. I'm not sure if Heat Vision's hints that Frost "has telepathic powers and as the White Queen wore scantily clad costumes" means that's the version of Emma Frost we'll see in this, but Eve is a hottie and I'm sure they'll playing up her sex appeal in this. We'll keep you updated on all the latest!

I'm interested to see if she'll be one of Xavier's students or not. The White Queen was originally a villain, so if she was student she should switch sides, like Pyro in X2.

Eve is a hottie, i'm excited to see her in costume if nothing else. I wonder though with that mention of Tommy Lee Jones, are they trying to weave "X-Men: First Class" into the Marvel movie-verse along with Iron Man and Thor? Or is that just a coinciding casting announcement and the two have nothing to do with each other? ---

@ comments 1-4 x-men first class should be the original five members,emma frost didn't show up in the uncanny x-men for about 120 plus comics,she would of been better cast as the enchantress in thor or ms.marvel in the avengers.

I think that she definitely has the looks down and I'm glad Marvel grabbed her for Emma, IMO she would have made a great Ms. Marvel also. Her acting skills are not terrible (i actually liked her performance in "Shes Out of My League"). My only worry is Fox messing with the film. I think they had a lot to do with the suckfest called xmen last stand and wolverine origins. I only just wish Fox Searchlight Films took their superhero properties. That division is the only real reliable studio that company has.

I JUST HOPE THEY DON'T PUT HER IN THE STARTING LINE-UP, that would anger every fanboy on every blog. I'm so tired of the comic book storyline butcher that is the Xmen movie franchise.

She did a great job in She's out of my league. Hopefully she'll pull off Emma's character pretty well.
