Andy Fickman to Direct Anna Faris, Not Ryan Reynolds, in 'TMI'

Way back in November we heard about a new romantic comedy that would see Ryan Reynolds and Anna Faris back on screen together for the first time since Just Friends. However, Variety says Reynolds' crazy busy schedule has stopped him from starring in TMI - the story of two best friends that accidentally sleep together but find out they know "too much information" about each other to make it work. Reynolds will still stay on as an executive producer along with Faris who will still play the role of the female lead. In addition, Andy Fickman, who directed the upcoming cliche chick flick You Again, has signed on to helm the film.
Fickman's talents don't exactly inspire a lot of faith since he's previously directed not so impressive fare like The Game Plan and Race to Witch Mountain, but there's something about Faris' comedic style that's always entertained me. She has a lot of potential but she's just gotten stuck taking a lot of garbage to theaters to try and bring in the female crowd. With a script from Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith (The House Bunny) and Marc Klein ("Saturday Night Live" producer), this doesn't seem to have too much promise, but I won't count it out until a trailer gets released. Stay tuned as we're sure to find out who'll be taking the lead male role soon enough.
