Robin Hood

Getting a bit desperate, Universal? Who releases an entirely new trailer for a big summer movie due out later that week? Maybe it's all those mixed-to-negative reviews that Ridley Scott's Robin Hood has been getting from screenings over the last week or so. Or the knowledge that the movie ends right when the real tale of Robin Hood is supposed to begin? Anyway, yes there is a brand frickin' new trailer for Robin Hood which you can watch via Hulu below (that means only US viewers). I'm seeing Robin Hood in Cannes in a few days, so I'm just planning to go in and watch fresh, no need to see any more trailers at this point. Enjoy.

Watch the very final, and brand new, trailer for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood from YouTube:

Follows Robin (Russell Crowe) from his early days in King Richard's army to his return to Nottingham to his creation of a band of mercenaries who challenge the sheriff and eventually try to prevent civil war.

Robin Hood is directed by British filmmaker Ridley Scott, of many classics like Alien, Blade Runner, Black Rain, G.I. Jane, Gladiator, Hannibal, Black Hawk Down, American Gangster, and many more. The script is written by Oscar winner Brian Helgeland, of L.A. Confidential, Conspiracy Theory, Mystic River, Man on Fire, Green Zone, and more. Universal is bringing Robin Hood to theaters starting on May 14th this week.

Come on... I can't believe this movie is PG-13. I was expecting something on the lines of Gladiator and Kingdom of heaven type of brutal action. This movie better have a great review, if not i won't bother with it.

Well I thought the same thing #10 but PG-13 can get away with a lot of blood and gore now, theres probably just no bad language.

I hope it does stop where the other stories start. I've seen those already...

this movie has an amazing cast and looks to be a very entertaining watch (i'll probably pick up the BR as well). the only thing that can really drag it down is the PG-13 rating........if it's a "made for teen viewing" flick, it won't be as good. BUT - if they show the violence of the period - it'll be great. i know we'll be there opening night. and #5 - "worst trailer ever"? - hardly...........there have been MUCH worse trailers. you must not follow movies much.

Big Russ was on the Johnathan Ross show last week (here in the UK) and he stated that the story is a kind of origin of the Robin Hood character that we all know. He also said that he and Ridley Scott were very keen on making another film which then covers the traditional Robin Hood tale that we are familiar with from the other films over the years. Reading reviews this week in the British press...they have all been pretty positive and im looking forward to seeing this film even though i know it wont compare to Gladiator. I think the film's original working title "Nottingham" would have been better suited to this story and then they could have named the possible second film "Robin Hood".....just my opinion of course but Robin Hood 2 seems a bit trashy!

Russel Hood looks a little fat in this.

You know, I'm really sick of the scene with the arrow. They show it in every trailer and it's rather annoying to me now.

im a manager at a theater and we have been playing this for Iron Man 2. this was a new trailer to be released with that film to help spark more people to see robin hood the following weekend. Just cuz it shows up online a few days before doesnt mean its late. at the theater we get trailers like 2 weeks before they show up online.

I can't get passed Crowe looking like Maximus in this. Ridley Scott really should have given him a different look to his Gladiator look. Same hair, same beard. WTF seriously. Why not just make Gladiator 2 and be done with it.

Hahahaha!!! Who is this fat buffoon think he is kidding? His Gladiator prime is long past. The long, sad decline has commenced. I actually though Mark Strong would have been a better Guy of Gisbourne in this.
