Baumbach Nabs Ben Stiller, James Franco for 'While We're Young'

Stiller / Franco

After collaborating on Greenberg, it looks like writer/director Noah Baumbach and star Ben Stiller are working together yet again. Vulture reports Stiller is attached to Baumbach's next film While We're Young. In addition, James Franco (who was recently revealed to be hosting the 83rd Academy Awards with Anne Hathaway) is also attached to the story which is about a free-spirited Brooklynite twenty-something couple who inspires an uptight documentarian (Stiller) and his wife to loosen up. Of course, unexpected problems arise and hilarity ensues as only Baumbach can deliver. Find out what leading ladies may take part in the film below.

While no deals have been made yet, apparently Baumbach has also extended an offer to Greenberg co-star Greta Gerwig to star opposite Franco as one half of the twenty-something couple. As if that wasn't enough talent, Cate Blanchett may end up taking the role of Stiller's wife if some scheduling issues can be cleared up. Vulture goes on to note that Blanchett's role was originally intended for Jennifer Jason Leigh, but since the actress just filed for divorce from Baumbach, that's like not going to be happening anymore. A film from Noah Baumbach is reason enough to get excited, but this cast sweetens the deal immensely. We'll keep you posted. Interested?
