Wow. The latest edition of the Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow kicks off next week with 10 different events and 12 movies. As a promo for the 2010 Rolling Roadshow Tour (via We Made This), the Drafthouse commissioned artist Olly Moss (official website) to design gorgeous new posters for each of the movies. Its become a big trend recently to design posters for classic movies in minimalistic ways, but these are some of the best designs I've seen, I love them all. Moss made posters for: Jackie Brown, Dirty Harry, There Will Be Blood, Convoy, The Blues Brothers, Robocop, Rocky I - III, On the Waterfront and The Godfather: Part II.
If you click on any of the posters above, you'll be taken to a larger version on Apple. I'd love to buy a few of these, does anyone know if they'll be on sale anywhere or if they're exclusively only available at each event? For more info on the stops in the 2010 Rolling Roadshow, you can visit the official website or each movie on Apple. I'm personally going to try and attend the There Will Be Blood event at the Kern County Museum in Bakersfield, CA. Other than that, I'd love to attend them all, but I don't know if I'll be able to get to many more. You gotta love the Alamo Drafthouse, they kick ass in every way and bring us great events like this.

All of them look great, but Robocop does not fit this art style.

All good looking I suppose, funny how copying a style from 60 years ago is still better looking than the rubbish that the movie industry is putting out now. All the art dept loves these days is floating heads.

Excited about There Will Be Blood. Happens to be showing in the city I live. Probably the only cool thing to happen here... ever. Anyways, hope to see you there!

no matter how well executed these are they're blatantly ripping off bass posters. Can this guy design anything in his own style, he's been ripping off this style since he was a collage. About time this one trick pony got another trick... Sorry
