Check This Out: Another Boring New Teaser Poster for Scream 4?
by Alex Billington

New decade, new rules, are we sure? Even though a few weeks ago it was announced that a whole slough of new young actors would be slayed in the upcoming Scream 4, being directed (again) by Wes Craven, this new poster (via Shockya.com) only hows the same three heads for Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette that have been in the series from the start. The other new actors in the cast are Lake Bell, Hayden Panettiere, Ashley Greene and Rory Culkin, but they're obviously not big selling points (yet). I'm not even sure if this poster is real, but I like the smokey design of the ghostface in the background, so check it out!
In Scream 4, the state of the horror genre within the film has been plagued with endless Stab sequels (the film series within the film based on the Woodsboro murders) which should provide some familiar tongue-in-cheek fun. Meanwhile, Craven says Sidney has "been off by herself and living her own life, and she's even written a book… She's kind of put her life back together in the course of these 10 years. But, certainly, there would be no Scream without Ghostface, so she has to confront him again, but now as a woman who has really come out of the darkness of her past." Scream 4 will hit theaters on April 15th, 2011 next year!

How come they can never match the names to the faces when they make movie posters?

I believe that it's just a fanmade poster. I don't think that Sid, Gale, and Dewey are gonna be the lead roles in the film. I also don't think the three actors took a photo shoot for this poster. Even though I don't think a sequel is necessary with "Scream 3" being called "The Final Scream" and having closure, I'll probably end up watching it anyway.

I firmly believe this to be a fan made poster based off of the Scream 2 poster. If you notice the 'smoke' around the three actors on the left and right slightly resemble the heads of Courtney Cox (where she was originally in the scream 2 poster) and Jada Pinkett Smith.

I'll only watch it if Courtney Cox has a really hot sex scene in it where she's completely nude.

at #6, strictly a guess: I believe it has to do with balancing out "top billing," but I could be mistaken. (For example "Yeah so and so's name will be before yours on the poster and joe blow's name is above yours on the credits, but YOU'LL get front and center face position on the poster. Sign here.")

at 6, With the names they allways put it in order of "importance" from left to right, because we read from left to right.

I think this could do some good. I really liked the first teaser poster they had up a month ago. Very simple and clean. Scream movies were from a different time. I think bringing one back with the right mindset could really force some old school blood through this awful streak of "horror/thrillers" these days. I'm ready. Also: This poster is pretty lame. Kinda cool I guess. Fuck it, I'm biased.

i really believe that Scream was a very entertaining and original film.and was an awesome addition to the genre. it really had a twist and was hard to read and come up with the 'killer duo'. it was unexpected. i dont share the same thoughts for the sequels though. they were kinda out of place, couldnot meet the standarts the first one has set. but they were fun too. just not on the same level as the original. Wes Craven is one sick dude, he has given us great classics. so i will see this fourth installment in the series but i am not keeping my hopes high. humor and surprise me Wes 😀 no matter what, i sure will laugh at the clumsiness of Ghostface, for thats one thing that never changes 😛 i think it comes with the duds 😀 cheers

This screams at me "I wonder if the film will be as bad as the poster". Terrible. I will not be paying to see this cash in garbage.
