Check These Out: Four New Stills from Chris Nolan's Inception
We don't know when the next trailer for Chris Nolan's Inception will be arriving (I'm guessing sometime early this summer?), so to hold you over, we're featuring these four new photos that have popped up various places over the last few days. SlashFilm culled them all together and cleaned them up a bit, so I owe them some thanks. Coincidentally we last featured four new photos from Inception just last week, so it looks like they keep hitting in batches of four. Seen in these photos are Leonardo DiCaprio as Cobb, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Arthur, and Ellen Page as Ariadne. I think a few of them were found in the Mind Crime viral game.
If you haven't seen them, watch the first teaser trailer and second teaser trailer for Inception at those links. We'll definitely let you know whenever any trailers show up online for Inception, so stay tuned right here!
Inception is both written and directed by acclaimed Oscar nominated British filmmaker Christopher Nolan, of Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige and The Dark Knight. Nolan previously co-wrote the scripts for Memento, Batman Begins, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight with his brother Jonathan Nolan. Warner Bros is bringing Inception to theaters starting on July 16th this summer. See you all in theaters!

Does anybody notice the costuming difference between what appears to be the dream world and the real world. It is intriguing.
the weatherman on Apr 21, 2010
Alex: The trailer will most likely be shown before Iron Man 2, just like how the final Dark Knight trailer was shown before Iron Man back in 2008.

Nolan's ridiculous run of great films doesn't look like it's going to stop
ozzie memz on Apr 21, 2010
YESSSSS imo the best film maker ever
DoomCanoe on Apr 21, 2010
There is more information in the trailer than in these pics. What is the point of this stale post? Anyways, looking forward to some mind-bending cerebral drama come summer.
PipehittinGimp on Apr 21, 2010
@2... I notice the costume difference, but the question is, which one is the dream world and which one is the real world?
peloquin on Apr 21, 2010
mmm... maybe (and this is just a wild guess) the dream world is where the city rolls over DiCaprio, where there are exploding things while he's eating, and where the room appears to be turning... but i don't know... maybe i'm wrong... (hahaha)

Are we ever getting an official still featuring Marion Cotillard? She hasn't even been given a split second in the trailer yet... Regardless, I'm sill so excited for this. Hopefully this will be more like "Memento" and less like "The Prestige".
jbaker475 on Apr 21, 2010
Hope fully it will be like both, but I dont know what your talking about the prestige blew momento away IMO.

Don't forget his excellent debut, Following, Alex... #4 - I'd argue that his run of great films was interrupted by his Insomnia remake, which was merely very good. But yes, he is probably the most consistent mainstream filmmaker of the past five or ten years.

Movie of 2010!
People's Champ on Apr 21, 2010
#11 he's consistent, but also sort of dull and stale. But inception looks like the only really masterpiece-esque film this year.
ryderup on Apr 21, 2010
"Memento" script was written solely by Christopher Nolan. His brother wrote a short story that inspired the script but he wasn't its co-author. I've seen this mistake made many times by those claiming that Chris is a lesser screenwriter than his brother. "Memento" (one of the best if not the best script of the past decade) proves them wrong. I'd appreciate if you could correct the mistake, Alex. Thank you.

I was not a fan of the film The Prestige, to me it was dull. But to others i suppose it would have alright, don't get me wrong I'm not ditching the film it was not my taste. Here's hoping that Interception lives up to all the hype it's been getting.
Cineprog on Apr 22, 2010
I don't think there would be any point trying to describe this film to anyone who isn't aware of it, i think they need to see this type of thing.
DiR3cT on Apr 22, 2010
Ugh. Ellen Paige? Why?
Brian Ricci on Apr 22, 2010
Wasn't Operation Mindcrime an album by Megadeth? Prestige: Amazing. Batman Begins: Effing Ridiculous. Dark Knight: Bale Voice. (Should've steered him away from that.) INCEPTION: Will not be the first Metaphysical Heist movie. But will be totally awesome. Chris Nolan (and everyone in his movies): BETTER DRESSED THAN YOU'LL EVER BE.
My Eyes ... MY EYES !!! on Apr 22, 2010
Is it just me or does Gorden Levett look like Heath Ledger sorta and with him working with Nolan i wouldn't be surprised if he picked up Ledgers Torch an was the Joker in Batman 3 , considering he can pull off what Ledger did with the character.
Subcelsious on Apr 22, 2010
Gordon Levett could have been a great Joker, I doubt Nolan will use the character of the Joker in part 3.
ryderup on Apr 22, 2010
@18 Operation: Mindcrime was an album, by Queensryche, not Megadeth.
Dave Lister, J.M.C. on Apr 22, 2010
If JGL plays anything in batman 3 it should be The Riddler.

I refuse to see any trailer of this movie. But I'll be at the cinema on debut.

#13 - ryderup The only thing dull and stale is your utterly useless post. #15 - Cineprog You officially cement your reputation as FirstShowing's resident philistine. The only thing dull is your predictable stupidity. #18 - My Eyes ... MY EYES !!! Slit your writst you philitine. Inception is Hollywood's first metaphysical heist film. And there's nothing wrong with Batman's voice, the entire film was better than that half-baked pedestrian effort that was Batman Begins. Anyway, suck shit through a straw.

Commence SlashBeast bashing: (Oh, wait. It's useless.) Hello SlashBeast. My name is Chris Nolan. I'm glad you are excited for my upcoming film. I see you also have enjoyed my film, the Dark Knight ... and yet, you did seem so much to enjoy my previous effort, Batman Begins. To each his own, really, but you also seem to be bashing people who are excited about my film INCEPTION as well. In closing, the inconsistency of your comments leads me to believe you're a schizophrenic. I am casting for my upcoming 3rd Batman film, Arkham Asylum, and am compelled to ask if you've ever thought of yourself as criminally insane. Because I think I have a part for you. You're going to kill Batman. With your spelling of philistine. You will portray a chronically poor speller, called "the Philitine", who is able to kill with his astounding abilities of misspelling. I think it'll be perfect. Heath Ledger has nothing on you. Because you killed him too, didn't you?
