Saw 3D - The Final Chapter

Can a poster actually convince you to see a movie? I'm not sure if that ever happens, but this is one I think might have that effect (as long as you don't hate the Saw movies). Our friends from Bloody-Disgusting have unveiled the final poster for Saw 3D, the seventh and final Saw movie (or so Lionsgate claims). This final poster, similar to the two "mind-blowing" and "heart-pounding" motion posters, features some epic imagery tweaked to have a slight 3D effect. I'm not a fan of the Saw franchise anymore, but this poster is awesome. It's at least great to see Jigsaw being immortalized in an epic monument like that. I say bring on Saw 3D!

Saw 3D Poster - The Final Chapter

According to producers, this will be the final film in the Saw franchise, but as always that might not be true, depending on how successful this one is. However, I think the real question is whether anyone wants more?

Saw 3D is directed by former editor Kevin Greutert, who edited all six of the previous Saw movies before this one and previously directed Saw VI from last year, for better or worse. The screenplay for this one was again written by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, who broke out with Feast and later wrote Saw IV, V and VI. Lionsgate is bringing Saw 3D to theaters everywhere on October 29th. Anyone going to see this?

I don't care for this franchise-- but this whole monument thing really speaks volumes. I mean, in a way, Jigsaw started off as a life-saving, life-preserving mad-man prophet of sorts. This poster reminds me of that... and within the Saw universe, I can only imagine the massive following he would have. In other words, this poster really makes me look past the schlock and see the original intentions of the filmmakers. And they made an icon in the process. Cool poster.

I don't get Saw hate. Its obviously no high brow series, but its pretty fun, and usually features good twists. Im still in, I just hate the 3D gimmick.

I hope the 3D effects in the film are better than this pseudo-3D stuff they keep doing on these posters.

Looks really lame. Can't believe they're still trying to milk this dead cow.

I cant blame them for milking this franchise, but I can blame all the morons that continue to fund it! MORONS!

Does anyone really believe that this is the end of this shitty film series? As long as they keep making money (and why they make money is beyond me) they'll keep making them.

You know the SAW franchise has better promotional campaign than the actual movies. The first one is a nice little shocker but the subsequent films rely too much on seriously sick "gore" scenes. I love to put this along with past posters as my wallpapers if the movies are not too keen to appeal to the sadists & serial killers & high-school rampage psychos in the general population. ::shudder::

Stupid series should've ended before the first one was released.

While I'll be going to see this with all my friends I just gotta wonder what the fudge does this movie poster have to do with the movie? lmao (To all the naysayers: If these movies weren't making money (if not lots of money) they wouldn't be making them, therefore obviously you're in the minority of moviegoers...just something to think about.)

Alex, I have defended this series to the helm. This poster justifies it. I will continue to defend this awesome franchise. I have never been so gripped by a movie franchise before.

Hahaha it's funny cause I can guarantee a good majority of the Saw haters on this page haven't seen past the 3rd one! You are all ignorant. Watch the fucking films before you talk shit about them. This...this truely is the greatest horror franchise of all time. And i'm psyched for this movie (not so much the 3D though).

Strange poster. What does it mean? Haters will hate, but this franchise is obviously making enough money to keep going.

You know, I really don't like how they turned SUCH a great frachise into something so hated. Underneath all the blood and guts, the films have REALLY great plots. I just hate how they have to make it so disgusting.... Still gonna give Saw 3D a try...
