The 2010 Academy Awards are now less than a week away, which I hope means that everyone is getting excited for the big celebration on Sunday. Found on the LocateTV blog (via our friends at SlashFilm) is this "Everything you wanted to know about the Oscars" infographic that contains all kinds of facts and figures and comparisons and bits of Oscar trivia. If you're not yet in the mood for the Oscars, this should definitely help, as it covers everythomg from the person with the most Oscars to the length of the longest acceptance speech to the Oscar nominated films with the longest and shortest titles. You've gotta see this!
Exactly as LocateTV stated, this is the "everything you wanted to know about the Oscars… and a bunch of things you probably didn't want to know but we're going to tell you anyway" infographic. I love seeing some of these stats because it reminds me of the legacy of the Oscars and how much they mean to this industry. I'm excited for Sunday because this should be an interesting year, not only for the nominees (all 10 of them for Best Picture), but for the ceremony and show as well. The Oscars really seem to be progressing forward these last few years, but whether they are successful or not this year is yet to be seen. See you on Sunday!

"A woman has never been nominated in the sound or cinematography categories"? Uh, that's not right. Gwendolyn Yates Whittle got nominated for sound editing for Avatar this year.

I read multiple sites daily to get different views on upcoming projects. Personally, if I can't read it here first, than I'd like a unique/different approach to the same source material to make it worth reading.
