The Guardian's Film Season Video Challenge

I love these kinds of visual challenges. The Guardian recently debuted a fantastic viral video for what they're calling the "Film Season Video Challenge." The video contains various imagery designed to represent a certain movie and you're job is to figure out what movie that is. It's about naming 26 films in 85 seconds. In the short clip you'll notice sly nods to 26 movies - it'll make sense when you see it. And if you need more of a direction, just think of Pixar's UP and that floating house with balloons seen near the beginning will be your first answer. Now you need to watch this and figure out the rest of the movies on your own. Have fun.

If you want to actually participate in The Guardian challenge in hopes of winning the prize (although I think you have to live in the UK to win unfortunately), visit this page and you'll find the form to enter all 26 of the film titles. Winners will get copies of all 26 movies on DVD. I'm having trouble figuring out all of the names, but I love the animation they made for each of them, it's so fun to watch this and figure out what everything is. It reminds me of the Tron Legacy viral pixelated video game map or Empire's Cryptic Canvas, which have a similar name-this-film concept. Let us know if you figure out all 26 of these. How many can you get?

I LOVE the transition from 0:27 to 0:28; subtle, sly and clever....I got either 19 or 21 (still not sure on 3 of them). I do think the one Alex used on the header is quite brilliant...p.s. it's not Captain America:)

Not Barbarella - One Million Years. And it is Mulholland Drive It was Raiders, not Indy 2 (which would be Temple of Doom) And for the first one, James Bond is not really a movie. Are they asking for a specific movie?

I think the crosses one is Life of Brian...the "ahhh" after the lightning strike sounds like something off the Monty Python soundboard. As far as Bond, I'd venture either Goldeneye or Goldfinger:P @7 I was thinking Delicatessen too

Number 16 is definitely Caché (Hidden) by Michael Haneke. The lead character keeps receiving mysterious videotapes in his mailbox and his adopted Algerian brother ends up being the one who sent them.
