Creepy, Dark Love Story in the Final Official 'Heartless' Trailer

Where the hell did this come from? (That pun will make sense after you watch this.) Apple has debuted an official trailer for Philip Ridley's Heartless, starring Jim Sturgess and Clémence Poésy. I actually do know about this film, as we featured a trailer for it earlier this year, but haven't heard much about it since, mainly because IFC quietly picked it up and is opening it very limited this fall. It's a Faust-themed dark, romantic drama about a guy with a heart-shaped birthmark on his face who sees demons in London. You've just got to watch the trailer, it's wild and a little wacky, but I think I may actually want to see it now. Enjoy!

A contemporary Faust themed story about Jamie Morgan (Jim Sturgess), a young man with a large heart-shaped birthmark on his face, who learns that there are dark demons living on the streets of East London.
Heartless is both written and directed by British filmmaker and playwright Philip Ridley, of The Reflecting Skin and The Passion of Darkly Noon previously. This was shot in London way back in 2008. It already hit theaters in the UK this year, but is only now arriving in the US via IFC Midnight. Heartless plays limited in November (no exact date yet) with an On-Demand preview starting September 22nd. Official website here.

yeah ive seen this already, loved it so much, but i cant seem to get other people to like it, i think thats mostly due to any sort of buzz around it, it is quite a weird film which could easily be seen as a horror film if one wasnt paying enough attention, but its more then that. the narrator of this trailer kin of gives it a bad image, but this film is great and i really urge everyone to go see it. i loved it

#11 That's exactly what I thought, a younger CONSTANTINE, sees demons and communicates with them making deals and doing deeds to save his soul, and the original HELLBLAZER comic was set in the United Kingdom as well, I am sure they were inspired by the Hellblazer comics

In reference to Constantine, I loved it. This looks creepy and I like it. The face eater part? I looked away, it grossed me out, but I liked it! I wanna see this.

Alex, have a little time since Apple fired it. And Carlos too. About this movie... i don´t know... seems good. But seems it going to the wrong way. I didn´t saw nothing like Constantine, was more like a demoniac version of Vanilla Sky.

Looks pretty cool. Also, I spotted Mickey Smith from Doctor Who. (Mr. "...it's a kingdom of horror") Always nice to see tv actors getting some movie roles.

It's been out on DVD over here in the UK for a while now, and it is absolutely fantastic. And over here Noel Clarke is more than "Mickey from Doctor Who" - he's an acclaimed film actor and director, with Kidulthood, Adulthood and 4,3,2,1 under his belt.

I've also seen this and it's awesome. I think Jim Sturgess even provided a couple of songs for the sound track.
