Tron Legacy Daft Punk

Briefly: There's a lot going on with Tron Legacy right now, but one aspect we're happy to always mention is the soundtrack, created by Daft Punk. There have been a couple recent updates related to Daft Punk and the Tron Legacy score worth mentioning, so here we go. First, MySpace has a massive 21-minute preview of the soundtrack, but I say stick it out and listen to the whole on December 7th. Next, LA-based radio station KCRW interviewed director Joe Kosinski and talked at length about the score and choosing/working with Daft Punk. I've featured one of the videos, but all of them can be found on SlashFilm or KCRW.com. Enjoy!

Watch the first part of KCRW's chat with Joe Kosinski about the Tron Legacy score:

Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and is pulled into the digital world of Tron where his father has been living for 25 years.

Tron Legacy is directed by first-time filmmaker Joseph Kosinski. The screenplay was co-written by Adam Horowitz ("Lost"), Richard Jefferies (Blood Tide, Living Hell), Edward Kitsis ("Lost"), and the director of the original movie, Steven Lisberger. This first got the greenlight last year because this early teaser played well at Comic-Con. Disney is bringing Tron Legacy to theaters in 3D starting December 17th. Game on!

Apparently Tron: Legacy has screened for some bloggers and critics around the country, and while they're all under embargo, traditionally you'd still hear some buzz on twitter and IMDB. So far it seems the buzz has been nonexistent which certainly doesn't bode well for how good the film is. I'm keeping expectations low when it comes to the story front in hopes of not being too disappointed.

Or maybe they're all excited to talk about it, but are keeping their mouths shut because we all like Disney and don't want to get in any trouble with them. Just because no one is talking doesn't mean anything besides that we're all following the embargo. Just wait, good word will get out soon enough! 🙂

Why don't you guys hold your opinions til you see it. Plain and simple. Is that so hard to do or re you guys just hard up for someone to listen to you. The only good opinion is an intelligent opinion which means some knowledge of what we speak. Just wait and stop trying to influence things of which you know nothing about.

#3 Ohhh come on, where's your optimism?! No need to be so negative when it's only a few weeks away. Just go in and enjoy it!

The over hype is just way too much....we all saw what happened when AVATAR came out. Many problems....tech was brilliant....but the rest of the film was lacking. Many think the Mouse knows the flaws.....but hope they are hidden to MOST of the general public.
