The Thing

A few interesting release date changes out of nowhere to report on tonight. Box Office Mojo updated their release schedule showing that Universal has moved Fast Five, the new sequel in the Fast and the Furious franchise, up to April 29th, 2011 from June 10th. That date was also the same day The Thing prequel was going to hit, but that has been pulled from its April release and listed as TBD: to be determined. I confirmed the changes with Universal and asked if The Thing was going to be released earlier or later, but was told they still haven't decided on a new date yet. Maybe that's why we haven't seen the teaser trailer online yet either.

To be honest, I was never really a fan of the April 29th release slot, since it's right before the summer, which is why I don't mind Fast Five is there because our attention is going to be focused totally on Marvel's Thor a mere seven days later. Having seen the footage from The Thing, I'm actually very excited to see it, but now I'm not sure when that will be. This could mean good news and they'll find a spot for it in the summer, but that's already so crowded I'm guessing they may hold it until late in the fall. As soon as they announce a new date, we'll let you know. I hope it's not delayed too long. As for Fast Five, with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson, I'm sure it'll do perfectly fine in April, similar to Fast & Furious' April 3rd, 2009 opening.

The Fast Five has the posibility to be one of the best in the Fast and Furious franchise if done correctly. With diesel returning and walker plus tyrese from part 2 this movie should be awsome. Check out Movie Critics Corner for all your movie news and reviews.

Truthfully, I wouldnt give much thought for the Fast Five until it's DVD release but when i was told about Diesel and the Rock walkn/Drivin/fighting in the same film ....Now this has got me kinda pumped, atleast to see some trailers.... and the same feeling goes for The Thing. Huge fan of the original! Eagerly Awaiting!

LOL, seems that nobody will pay any kind of decent attention to fast five.
