Emily Blunt & Rachel Weisz Together in Semi-Improvised Film
Two of the most beautiful and talented actress working today are coming together for a new film as Variety reports Emily Blunt (The Wolfman) and Rachel Weisz (The Fountain) will star in a new film from Humpday writer/director Lynn Shelton. Much like that comedy, which garnered plenty of buzz at the Sundance Film Festival last year, the as yet untitled project will be semi-improvisational. But that's not the only shared trait amongst the two projects as Humpday star Mark Duplass is also joining the cast as a man who comes between the two sisters being played by Weisz and Blunt. That's one lucky bastard.
In addition to her indie acclaim on the festival circuit, Shelton also recently directed a stellar episode on this season of AMC's "Mad Men." While Humpday was certainly praised throughout its run, I found myself somewhat underwhelmed by it. The performances were spectacular, but I was just expecting it to be a little funnier. The mumblecore nature of these films should be an interesting experience for Blunt and Weisz so I'm interesting to see how it turns out. Improvisation on-set whether for comedy or drama is something that's always fascinated and amazed me. Stay tuned as this project develops.

i'm tired of the word IMPROVISATION being misused....improvisation is not making up dialogue...thats ADLIBBING....improvisation in acting is spontaneous act of using a tone of voice, or a body gesture
