I think this is the third time we've featured a trailer for this , but we finally have an official studio-approved trailer (via STYD) for Kaare Andrews' Altitude and it surprisingly looks pretty damn good. Altitude is that Canadian mid-air monster movie about a bunch of teenagers who take a small plane on a trip and encounter a Lovecraft-like supernatural beast in the clouds. It stars Jessica Lowndes (Autopsy), Julianna Guill (Friday the 13th), Landon Liboiron and Ryan Donowho, and unfortunately will be going straight-to-DVD in October, courtesy of Anchor Bay Films. And that idiot who makes fun of the comic book deserves whatever's coming!
Watch the official trailer for Kaare Andrews' Altitude:
After a malfunction sends their small plane climbing out of control, a rookie pilot (Jessica Lowndes) and her four teenage friends find themselves in a showdown with malevolent, supernatural forces in the sky.
Altitude is directed by Canadian filmmaker Kaare Andrews, who is making his feature debut after directing a handful of shorts previously. The script was written by Paul A. Birkett, of Escape Velocity, Mindstorm, and Crash Landing previously. The film is being developed by the Escape Factory and is being distributed in the US by Anchor Bay Films. Altitude will be landing on DVD/Blu-Ray starting on October 26th if interested.

After the Giant Octopus defeated Mega Shark, it had to go somewhere to find a worthy opponent, right?

That doesn't even seem to make any sense. A contained thriller in an airplane ... with a giant octopus outside?

Like the number 6 comment!! It looks straight to dvd material, but it also looks good. This means it will be cheaper to watch and in the comfort of the couch!

The giant "octopus" makes perfect sense if you've ever read H.P. Lovecraft. I think this looks a lot cooler than any horror film this year.

The Weird Stories Comic is a nod to the magazine "Weird Tales" which featured a lot of H.P. Lovecraft stories. The "flying Octopus" looks like one of Lovecraft's Elder God creatures.
