Eat, Pray, Love Trailer

Sony has debuted the first trailer for Eat, Pray, Love starring the charming Julia Roberts and a handful of other actors including James Franco, Javier Bardem, Billy Crudup, Richard Jenkins & Viola Davis. The book's subtitle may help give you a better idea of what this is about: "One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia." This is a chic flick at it's finest, but it doesn't look that bad, to be honest. It does look a bit sappy and I can't buy Franco and Roberts being a couple, but other than that it looks quite inspirational. Also, I'm not sure why they put a soft focus over the entire movie, but oh well. Check this out!

Watch the first official trailer for Ryan Murphy's Eat, Pray, Love from YouTube:

A happily married woman (Julia Roberts) realizes her life needs to go in a different direction, and after a painful divorce, she takes off on a round-the-world journey. Based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Eat, Pray, Love is both written and directed by writer/director/producer Ryan Murphy of everything from "Nip/Tuck" to "Glee" to the indie film Running with Scissors which he wrote and directed. The script was co-written by Murphy and Jennifer Salt ("Nip/Tuck") and is based on Elizabeth Gilbert's bestselling memoir of the same name. Sony Pictures is bringing Eat, Pray, Love to theaters on August 13th late this summer.

Eat,Pray, Love is a girlie flick. Even though Julia Roberts is in this picture it will be a hard sell. Not my cup of tea.

I'm so not excited to see this. Very predictable and corny. i'm sure here too, India will be shown as a spiritual destination or elephants/snakes wtf? Its been years i haven't seen either of them.

I actually read this book a couple of years ago after my wife raved about it, and found that I couldn't put it down. I doubt it will translate on the screen as well as the story played out in my head. I'm more of a sci-fi, shoot-em-up, blood and guts, movie kind of guy, but I found myself slightly enlightened after reading it. I know it sounds corny and gay, but sometimes it's nice to experience a feel good movie too. I'm not the biggest Julia Roberts fan, but think she will probably do it justice. It will make millions off women alone.

Haven't read the book. Won't see the movie. Julia Roberts on a spiritual journey? Not buying it. If I visualize Cate Blanchett in the role (based on the trailer alone) it becomes much more interesting.

Looks cozy. Like something you'd watch when feeling low or just want to cuddle up with a B&J and watch, brainless.

I bet it ends with the Bali bombing and Julia Robert's character gets blown up and then travels to another dimension where she meets the man of her dreams.

Too much males... It's a movie about life, journey and searching for yourself. I'm in, i dont have doubt's about my manhood by watching a movie.

I think it will do very well and I'm excited to see it, as are 51% of the population -women. Tired of the sexist remarks from 10 year old boys who think that good films are those with comic characters and guns. Sexist drivel.

Looks good. Will get savaged by the critics for its spiritual content, however. I am usually on the fence when it comes to Julia (thank God she passed up Blind Side), but she looks good in this. "no carbs left behind" Funny line!

I'll probably see this at some point in my life. I wouldn't run out to the movies and see it. She's a great actress and she looks great. Where most actresses start to look worn out and you can tell they've had oodles of plastic sugery (meg ryan). Julia Roberts still looks amazing and if she's had any you can't see it in an obvious way.
