Indie Trailer Sunday: Canadian Western Spoof 'Gunless' Teaser

Now here's a fun teaser trailer for a Canadian film called Gunless. I first heard about this last year at the Toronto Film Festival. It had been described as a western without guns, but it's not exactly that. It's a western, that's for sure, but the twist is that the Canadian town this American gunslinger ends up is gunless, while our hero - The Montana Kid - is not gunless. It's kind of a fish-out-of-water film, but it's also a play on westerns that makes fun of Americans. It stars Canadian actor Paul Gross, who was on "Due South" and "Eastwick", and also Sienna Guillory. It's a very short teaser, but I've got to admit, it does look quite fun.
Watch the early teaser trailer for William Phillips' Gunless:
For more information, visit the official website for the film: gunless.ca.
A hardened American gunslinger is thwarted in his attempts to mount a showdown in a friendly town up in Canada where no one seems to understand or appreciate the brutal code of the American Wild West.
Gunless is written and directed by Canadian filmmaker William Phillips, of the feature films Treed Murray and Foolproof previously. This was shot last year in and around British Columbia. Alliance Films is bringing it to Canadian theaters in March, but it doesn't have a US distributor yet, so we're not exactly sure when it'll makes it way down to the US. I suppose the more important question is: does anyone even wants to see this?

I'd have to see more first before I decide to see it. Those Canadians always seem to be making fun of us Americans. Honestly though, we kinda deserve it.

It's not a trailer, it's a teaser. It's not supposed to tell you all about the film, it's supposed to spark your interest and that's all. I presume a full trailer will follow nearer to the release date. As far as I'm concerned, I thought that was a quite funny video, and I'll look forward to learning more about it.

America is fat and gay. Canada rules the world, at least above the Canadian border. Canada had The Tea Party, though now those guys live in Australia and Ireland. Canada is the new Australia. Australia is still Australia but at least Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe is not made there, yet. Those shows are ours! Hands off, Aussies.
