Okay, bear with me, even if you don't like Colin Farrell, I still suggest checking out this trailer for Neil Jordan's Ondine. I actually saw this film at the Toronto Film Festival late last year and quite enjoyed it (although I never wrote a review). This trailer makes it seem way more epic than it actually is, but that said, the film itself is very sweet and charming and kind of a breath of fresh air to watch (especially after watching depressing films). Don't worry, it doesn't turn into a horror/thriller at the end (like this trailer implies), but it's a great film. The Playlist first found this on YouTube last week so I owe them thanks. Watch and enjoy!
Watch the first unofficial trailer for Neil Jordan's Ondine:
Written and directed by Neil Jordan (of The Crying Game, Interview with the Vampire, The Brave One), Ondine is a lyrical modern fairy tale that tells the story of Syracuse (Colin Farrell), an Irish fisherman whose life is transformed when he catches a beautiful and mysterious woman (Alicja Bachleda) in his nets. His daughter Annie comes to believe that the woman is a magical creature, while Syracuse falls helplessly in love. However, like all fairy tales, enchantment and darkness go hand in hand. A story of love, hope and the unwavering belief in the impossible. Magnolia is distributing in the US but hasn't set a release date yet.

Wow that was a pretty awesome trailer. You should write reviews for movies by critically acclaimed directors like Jordan. It would give yourself a bit more credibility outside of writing things about remakes or Stretch Armstrong all the time. If you saw it, you should talk about it.

Wow! This film looks amazing. I love Colin and think he is an amazing actor, and I happen to love the roles he chooses. He always makes them his own, and I actually love most of his films. I can't wait to check this one out. I hope they release it soon! Thanks for sharing!

looks really good, Colin is a good actor all he needs is to find that role like Minority Report, Phone Booth, The New World, and In Bruges are all very good roles that Colin has shined in and this looks like another one he will do a good job in.

DEMC, it looks more like an illegal immigrant story with a folklore thrown in. Like maybe if the mermaid in Splash on the run and wasn't a mermaid. I'm really looking forward to seeing this.

Stoped the trailer halfway through because it started to get interesting and this looked like on of those trailers that reveals too much. Looking better then what I had anticipated 🙂

Director of Interview with THE Vampire, not "A"... other than that the trailer looks pretty powerful. And the little girl looks adorable.
