Tucker & Dale vs Evil Trailer

The 2010 Sundance Film Festival kicks off in 19 more days and one of the films premiering at the festival in the Park City at Midnight category is the horror comedy Tucker & Dale vs Evil. Starring Alan Tudyk & Tyler Labine (seen above), this comedy twists the normal college-kids-go-camping-and-get-killed story in that the kids only think these two peaceful hillbillies are vicious killers (when they're really not). It doesn't necessarily sound like it will be great on paper, but watch this trailer and I guarantee you'll be dying to see this (pun intended). I'm definitely going to be catching this at its premiere at Sundance. Enjoy the trailer!

Watch the first official trailer for Tucker & Dale vs Evil:

Two hillbillies vacation to their dilapidated mountain cabin, but their peaceful trip goes horribly awry.

Tucker & Dale vs Evil is both written and directed by Los Angeles-born filmmaker Eli Craig, of only the short film The Tao of Pon previously. The script was also co-written by up-and-comer Morgan Jurgenson, who last worked as an electrician on a film as well as an editor before moving to the screenwriter position. This will be premiering at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in the Park City at Midnight category in a few weeks. Tucker & Dale vs Evil does not have a US distributor yet, but I'm sure it will find one at Sundance.

That does look great, but I agree with the other comments, seems like they showed WAY too much in the trailer.

i'd like to find something positive about this trailer, but i can't...........story, acting, humor, dialogue - it's all AWFUL. that was the WORST trailer i've ever seen on this site.

Hil-fucking-arious, and a fresh take on an incredibly tired genre. Thank god the movie isn't going to see the light of day for a while, or that trailer would have spoiled just about everything.

While it gets a little over the top at the end, I can see most of this movie happening in real life. This looks like it has a lot of potential.

#5, isn't that what makes it so awesome to begin with? Looks really funny, definitely a rental

Actually looks like an original idea on a played-out genre! I'm impressed.

Looks funny, I'd watch it, the two Hillbillies are both funny dudes. Plus those city folks have such priddy mouths.

I agree, I'll watch Alan Tudyk in anything. This just looks like it has the added benefit of being hilarious.
