Today's indie (teaser) trailer is for a Korean film from the director of A Bittersweet Life and The Good, The Bad, The Weird - Kim Ji-Woon. This first hit a few weeks ago (via Twitch), but we're just now featuring it, primarily because it looks great and there's really not much else worth featuring today. The film is called I Saw the Devil and is a dark crime thriller starring Lee Byung-Hyun (who starred in A Bittersweet Life and played Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe) and Choi Min-Sik (another very popular Korean actor who starred in Oldboy and Lady Vengeance). It has no English subtitles, but it's still certainly worth watching anyway.
Watch the first Korean trailer for Kim Ji-Woon's I Saw the Devil from YouTube:
Min-Sik plays a psychopathic serial killer who goes up against Byung-Hun, a detective secret agent whose fiancée becomes one of his victims. Their roles slowly switch as the hero turns into the monster he's after.
I Saw the Devil is directed by acclaimed South Korean filmmaker Kim Ji-woon, of films including The Quiet Family, 3 Extremes II, A Tale of Two Sisters, A Bittersweet Life, and my personal fave, The Good, The Bad, The Weird previously. As far as we know, this doesn't have any US distributor yet, so we're not sure when I Saw the Devil may be arriving in US theaters, but I hope it's sooner than later, as it looks great! Stay tuned.

Looks sweet! Im totally going to see this as soon as possible. I dont know how you can tell Lee Byung-Hyun's role in G.I. Joe and leave out the role of The Bad in The Good, The Bad and The Weird!!!

The Good, The Bad, The Weird was one of the finest action movies (not to mention Western) I'd seen in some time. I don't know how Kim Ji-Woon does it. I'll definitely be checking this one out when it gets to the States.
